Baldy
With your top two being riders who are riders , going on past performances; can achieve that 9 plus average but due to injury and "outside" influences are in the "Great riders IF",and another of your riders again a rising talent until his bad accident, it is going to be an interesting team to watch and see what happens. I am more that optimistic that Lee and Kyle can lead the team well, with Luke a nailed on strong second string but with the ability to rise to the occasion and if Ben can just push that little then we have the basis of a very good team. Liam Carr will for me be a major signing. This year the focus has gone on a few other young men coming in on three points (and rightly so) but Liam is a rider that I believe could make people sit up and take notice. last few riders are going to be interesting.!1 Edited December 12, 2012 by Steeplejack

ChubbyChesgire
Shaun Tedham moves up from the Spitfires into the reserve slot on a 3. 5 down 2 (and 7.93) to go !
vog
And Emerson Jones makes it 6, comes in on a 3. Leaves 4.93 for one more rider. I'm sure Mr Vasey has his eye on someone!

greyhoundp
Hmmm, Liam Carr i would have thought, but not so sure now.
Baldy
Hmmm, Liam Carr i would have thought, but not so sure now. Does make you think. For me it has to be Liam...that is if he wants to ride for Stoke this year. A fantastic rising talent would be too good to pass up. I know we have nearly five points to play with but who is left at this stage?. If nobody that can be found for that average that could rise to 5.5 to 6 then Liam is the best choice as I feel that is an achievable average for him this year. If we sign someone with a similar average to Liam we would of done better to have Liam instead of one of the threes. Don't know the "form" of Emerson but he has yet to ride in the league so is still an unknown quantity. Shaun did well in progressing through last season but at 32 years old I would of preferred to go with a younger man. Who is there left who would fit for us?. mac101
you could also get the Glasgow no8 James McBain think he is looking for nl league spot this year and he is just a 3 average was reserve at Glasgow for last 5 matchs and banged in the points think he scored 12/14 points last time he rode in nl for stoke would score a barrow load of points from reserve match winner i think Edited December 16, 2012 by mac101
Baldy
I remember James racing against Ben Reade when the reserve spot was up for grabs two years ago. James was quicker out of the gate but Ben passed him in the races. Surprised that we did not take him on three last year as he was as close an equal with Ben the time before. Think at times we only look at using every fraction of points you have. Might be good to take someone like James then it still gives chance to shuffle in the future; that said, we shuffled more times than a top croupier last year and that is not good in my view. Baldy
We really do have a side that is going to have the biggest ???? against it until the season gets underway. Luke completes that side of ???. We wish Luke well in the 5 stars of the Potters (should be 6 really but that's another issue). He has always looked good to me although he is a rider that you expect to break thorough big style but as yet has remained on the bubble. He has great talent that is given and I hope that he shows us that he can do it. I feel good about this side but I know the ?? are because it's seeing if the top men can regain the confidence that both need to make a sucess for the season. A few ?? against Ben as some tend to think that Ben has hit his level, I'm not so sure; looks more in Ben to me and I would not be surprised if his sortees in the premier reserve ranks don't get him a few points. Luke P again is a past Premier rider and I think that anybody that thinks Luke is past it in regards to racing should think again. I do think we have missed a trick not finding a place for Liam Carr but hope he can get fixed up somewhere and I get the chance to see him race. Thought he would of been nailed on for Stoke this year. Much debate on if this side is good enough or not but we will only know when it takes to the track. Carr should have been an automatic choice ahead of some of the others named. Bit penny pinching perhaps considering, as far as I know Carr lives in Berwick area? Are there still places at say Coventry and Buxton? Edited December 31, 2012 by Catch Me If You Can
Craftman
Liam's exclusion from Stoke 2013 is an obsolute mystery tbh ! There was definitely significant progress in his performances to warrant a team spot at Loomer Road . Good luck to him and a ride somewhere in the NL
Islander15
Coventry only have 3.35 for their last rider so that rules out Carr, seems so unfortunate for him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at Mildenhall.
