Mildenhall V Stoke 31-10-12 Nat Trophy

Super Blue

Recommended Posts

Well , this is it , the very last Speedway in the country this year and subject to the weather ( goes without saying really ) it's the final chance to see the mighty Tigers in action and for everyone to congratulate them on the Grand Slam !

There is nothing else they could possibly have won and deserve every ounce of support we can give them , it's just a shame Joe is out of the country and unable to join in the celebrations !

For this meeting I'm sure The Tigers will have the strength to cover Joe's absence but I'm fairly convinced it won't be the complete rout it was looking to be when the first attempt was rained off after 5 heats .

If Ashley Birks is in the Stoke line up he will possibly have a score or 2 to settle so should be interesting !

Looking forward to a good night and hope to see as many people as possible to laud the all conquering Fen Tigers !!!!

OH , AND NO RAIN PLEASE !

Really looking forward to this, the final meeting of 2012.

Pity Ashley Birks isn't riding, as it's always the preferred option to see a teams own 1-7, but I'm sure Ben Morley will prove an adequate replacement.

In this day and age, children aren't frightened of the Halloween monsters etc., but Mum's & Dad's, just prepare your little monsters for the fact that both Jaybea and Old Ponytail will be in town tonight, and that's enough to scare the pants off the strongest of folk ;)

No matter who wins tonight, have a good safe meeting to all the riders, and seasonal greetings to everyone involved with both clubs, including the fans of course.

Where abouts in the stadium is the office please, and is there public access to it prior to the meeting?

I've never been to office but believe it's inside so you will prob have to pay as usual and reclaim refund once in but I stand to be corrected if that's not the case .

Does anybody know what the weather is currently like in the Mildenhall area, because where I live in Norfolk, it's looking increasing more like rain, in fact it's pouring now.

Like Super Blue, my journey entails over a 100-mile trip, and one has to wonder if it's worth the gamble of yet more wasted petrol money.

Perhaps you could save petrol money by cycling there and back Mimmo? We're coming up from Kent but by car as my mate BFC (as others who know him, including you, will agree I'm sure) would get arrested if he went out wearing Lycra shorts!

Mike . what time are you planning on leaving, I can text you a weather update as you need it! I have your number mate.

As for the office, you can either enter via the pits in front of the bar, or go up into the viewing area at the end of the bar, go down the steps to where the toilets are and you should be able to get through to the office below the stairs

By the way its dry and windy at the moment in Mildenhall, a real wrap up warm night!!

No rain all day with a drying wind, fingers crossed it stays that way until about 10pm tonight

Mildenhall have declared there team on there website. It includes Jason Garrity as a guest at no1, is this allowed as Cameron Heeps declared himself fit last week. They also have rr for Joe Jacobs, again is this allowed as he is not injured but is leaving for Australia on Wednesday.

I'd this some half hearted attempt at getting a Stoke win coz it ain't gonna work !

Does it really matter anyway , the Tigers have won everything ! Stoke had their day and a win at West Row but it isn't happening again .

A very enjoyable evening of racing despite the meeting being of little or no importance. Stoke gave a far better account of themselves than the score suggests, and I was particularly impressed with Liam Rumsey.

Also good to see Mildenhall give their No 8 (Niall Strudwick) three rides, rather than try and nail Stoke further into the ground with some of their big hitters.

Shame that Ben Morley suffered that awkward looking tumble in Heat 1 which resulted in him withdrawing from the meeting, and hope the injury is only of a minor nature.

Ten out of Ten for the referee who kept his finger on the button all evening. Parade at 7.30pm, back in the car at 9.00pm......BRILLIANT STUFF.

So well done Stoke for giving it your best shot, and well done Mildenhall on all your deserved success this year.

An extremely belated thanks Phil, I'd already left before I'd picked up your message.

Everything about Mildenhall was good tonight.

Can only echo everything you have said here Mimmo particularly the use of Niall and the improvement in Liam Rumsey from watching him early on doing second halfs to now greatly improved well done Liam
