Dave_minall
THERTE was a suggestion that the host nation wild card in the GP Challenge would be abolished. Not sure whether it has or not. Will enquire... Typical...

TheReturn
May I ask why Poole, does anyone know? Was this simply a case that Mr Ford lobbied for Poole to host it? if so, then fair play to him, good promotion which is his job. Although I hope the track is worked on to ensure it is smooth. But would the BSPA had any say in awarding to Poole? If so, it seems a strange choice as not exactly easy to get to being on the South Coast, Coventry or Peterborough obvious choices, both good tracks, good stadiums and fairly easy to access from all parts of the country via motorway links. JCookie
Poole is the most beautiful place in England. Foreigners don't want fields and car factories they want yachts and houses like Shovlar's.
SCB
Let's not forget holding the meeting in Britain means a guaranteed British rider in the final. So not content with giving out totally undeserved British wildcards in the series proper, the organisers can now hand Harris a wildcard for the qualifying meeting. Will he even bother with the earlier qualifying meetings? Surely it's a wildcard to get the locals in. So Darcy Ward!
Steve Shovlar
Great news being at Poole. Superb race track which is fair to all and guarenteed a massive sell out crowd. In the diary already. Well done to all who made sure it came to a proper fair race track.

Dave_minall
Superb race track Are you sure? Every time I've seen it over the past 2 years it's been rough as a ploughed field. Birmingham/Peterborough/Kings Lynn/Somerset would have all been better options for fair and consistent tracks.
PHILIPRISING
POOLE team manager Neil Middleditch has publicly admitted that the Wimborne Road track needs urgent surgery and will hopefully get it over the winter. Many of speedway's ills in general can be attributed to poor tracks. Give the guys a stage on which to perform and generally they will. Many of speedway's ills in general can be attributed to poor tracks. Give the guys a stage on which to perform and generally they will. Providing they do this over the winter, I'd be more than happy for it to be hosted at poole, it's a lovely place, nice stadium and CAN be a fair track - if they sit on their hands all winter then this will be a shambles and will only further make UK speedway look like it's dying on its feet. ShadowCaptain
I am not a fan of Poole, but, on my few visits there for important meetings, they are very good at hosting important meetings. Some other tracks, when they get an important meeting, treat it the same as a regular league match, so that it is not a 'special' occasion. The problem is geography. For anybody travelling from the northern tracks, the costs increase massively, not just in fuel, but because of the possible requirement for a hotel or lodge room. Birmingham (on my visits, a really professional, customer-orientated, operation) could have provided an easily-accessible location for the meeting, but, presumably, the track is not FIM standard, and there is a meeting restriction from the council and... We have good tracks, good promotions, and good locations, but we do not have them in the same place. Such a long drive to Poole!

The Know
which is approximately.... never i would agree, the track at poole has been bad this year at meetings i have been to. needs a fair bit work over the winter really. but i still rather go there as 5 mins down the rd than travel.
