Premier League Pairs 31/05/2013

Recommended Posts

Takes five minutes to come up with a decent race formula that works. For example four groups of four pairs thirteen teams plus and additional three pairs from the top rated clubs using the top four averages rather than top three. Each pair rides each the other three pairs in their group which equates to twenty four qualifying races winners of each group to race in a semi final then a final. Total twenty seven races. Again Rye House with a top four of Garrity Allen Mellgren and Nelson are not included and all four of these riders would grace the event. For me the best meeting of the year but i'll not go without a team to support and i am sure that there are a lot of like minded supporters of the three clubs. Will be the same for the fours, almost as thought the BSPA don't want to run a successful event. Yes the knockers will say 32 riders will cost extra but how much dough will be lost at the turnstyles, My forty quid for a start

A little difficult I would have thought, given that as of the cut-off date (1st May), only seven official fixtures had been run.

So how do Ty Proctor and Simon Stead have averages? Surely they dont count?!

  • 2 weeks later...

Looks to be between Somerset and Edinburgh.

You would think so , but neither have won it yet

Forgot to ask . I've still got my rain-off ticket from last year's PLRC . Is it valid for this meeting , since they're all superseven events .

Was I right in hearing whilst at the Berwick match against newcastle there was an announcement on the tannoy that newcastle are going to be in the pairs now with Robson and Worrall, i hope I haven't just manufactured that up in my head...

Not listed on BSPA events link.

Possible that they could get Plymouths place if Proctor is out.

If they do surely Worrall isnt elligible? Thought it had to be 2 of the top3 by average at the start of the season and Worral is 5.

Tully is of course injured but to get down to Worrall would mean Lindgren not prioritising British fixtures again - and this one hasnt been rearranged!

Would've been interesting to see how Allen & Mellgren would've gone around the OTA, but I'll have to wait until the Friday after the Pairs

I'm amazed he's being used after last years performance to be honest!

I was amazed after the initial announcement as Grievsey is a past winner. Wondered I there was perhaps a personal reason for Grievsey not participating considering recent events.

Arent stead and hall both injured? Will sheffield still take part?

Richard Hall rode in the KOC match against Rye House a couple of weeks ago. I'm not aware that he's suffered another injury since then
