Buxton V Isle Of Wight Sunday 21/10/12

This fixture brings to an end the 2012 season for the Hitmen who haven't enjoyed the best of fortunes this season. However, the home side will be looking to exact revenge on the Islanders who snatched victory at Hi-Edge in the last few heats of the league fixture earlier in the season. Both teams are missing their number 1's and the Hitmen have Tony Atkin whilst the visitors have opted for Lewis Kerr who top scored with 16 for the Young Stars at Buxton a couple of weeks ago. The Hitmen are also looking to finish the season off with a win and get their Trophy points tally of the ground. Whatever happens, it is sure to be a meeting filled with plenty of action as the Islanders look to challenge Mildenhall for the honours in the Trophy competition.

Was hoping to get up there today but, alas, car is full and I can't be squeezed in! Hope it's a good match and good luck to all riders.

Good job it was Buxton's final meeting of the season as they would have been very short of riders for another match. Along with the bum injury to Deano, Luke Priest broke his wrist after being knocked off by Ross Walter in Heat 12. He somehow managed to get a paid win in the re-run!!

Enjoyed that, good meeting in the late october sunshine, well impressed with Blacklock rode very well for his points, Kerr looks a good prospect and the best meeting Ive seen Paul Starke ride in for a long time, looks a lot better.

Lets hope we get some more next season.

I thought that Danny Stoneman rode well once he got into is stride. Been on and off lately but he did well on Sunday. Felt sorry for Dean Felton on what was probably his last competitive ride in the NL ending up being dumped by his bike on the start line. Hope that the bruising is just that and nothing more serious Dean. Thanks for all your support and for being a great team member. You have passed on a lot to the youngsters so hopefully you will still be involved in the sport one way or another.
