OGT
Big congrats to young Mr Woffinden, what a boy!! A great example of how taking the correct, professional approach to a sport and adding it to massive natural talent brings rewards. Fantastic.

JT
Fantastic, congratulations to Woffinden. I'll hold my hand up, I mocked his pick at the start of the season, thinking he was just another British charity pick, but he's shown what a bit (actually, a lot) of effort and natural talent can achieve, fantastic! Â Also well done to PUK, the second former Newport rider after Phil Crump to finish World No.3, legend. Â Â Nearly choked on my Dorset Cereals this morning when the BBC mentioned the speedway. The presenter didn't have a clue and kept glancing down to his notes, but said Tai had to score 6 points to wi the first title in 13 years and that he could do it tomorrow in Poland, and his nearest rival was a Pole. And if he wins it he will hopefully be in the studio next week. Â Just had a glance at the BBC website, such high profile sports as Archery, Handball and Wrestling on the main list, but no mention of Speedway. Hopefully this win can push our brilliant sport on to this list. I won't hold my breath... Â JT. Edited October 5, 2013 by JT

RobMcCaffery
Thanks to Tai for making the 2013 season memorable for one positive reason. How he saw off the trap in heat 5 was amazing. What a way to win a title!  Congratulations to the first former Rocket to win a world title.  As a result of matters on the domestic section of the site I expect to be receiving a ban - eventually enough is enough on both sides - so I'll just take this final chance to thank those on the International section for providing warm and intelligent company through the season. It's best if I shut up for a while. I've sa\id what I needed to say.  Tai, I had the highest respect for your father - wonderful to see you honour his memory in the finest way.  Isn't it funny how much better the Grands Prix have been on Eurosport ;-)  Rob  (Here's to seeing British Speedway on BT too!)
