Leicester Lions 2013

Recommended Posts

I can assure you that Promoters have a lot more positive things to do than read the ramblings of folks who don't attend or who have a negative view on speedway and any decision made within the sport. Life is too short to waste their time. If there is something illegal or damaging posted on the BSF, no doubt there are plenty of people who advise them of it.

I agree tsunami. My point is that i'd make a generalisation that this forum is frequented by the sports most passionate fans and for every person you describe above i think there are 10 members who have well reasoned views arguments that are worth noting. I'm sure whether they read them or not most well reasoned views on this forum arrive in some shape or form within earshot or view of the Promoters. As mentioned i'd be amazed if this wasn't the case that most look or at worst are informed by friends.

Been released by Leicester to go full time with Newcastle.

That's unfortunate for us. From what i saw towards the end of last year i think Lewis looked a great prospect.

1) very doubtful is it that a riders parent thru their child knows as much as you ?

As usual you have a very high opinion of yourself for someone who goes so little. !

2) what DH says goes?

God forbid that an Owner and Investor in a business should actual have the final say! (Just like they do in any business!!!

3) changes are a joke??

If you look at the well publicised photos, its easy to see how it's opened up the entry and exits to bends 1 and 2 & in effect shortened the straights!

For someone who wants DH to take notice of all and sundry, you have the most closed mind to any opinion differing from yours !

Why not practice what you preach for once!

1) I said very doubtful

2) without the paying public he is out of buisness

3) I dont think the changes will make alot of difference but we will see.

You need to stop talking crap hurricanes,I dont write what i dont know about like some on here.

Sorry Steve but you have taken me completely out of context. The original post from R72 implied that the riders would walk if they didn't get a racing track as they had been promised a racing track. My post about money aludes to money/points/support carry's far more weight than any track being a racer or not that more a supporters issue. They don't even have to like the track all tracks have to be ridden ask those that ride at Plymouth

Oh ok. Sorry Tina. Misconstrued your point in that case. That said, it's a bit silly if certain riders think there's no connection between their money and entertaining the paying public. If support dwindles because of the poor spectacle on show then inevitably the promoters will suffer financially and won't be able to pay them the money anyway. Speedway, like all other sport that people pay to attend, is in the entertainments business.

I'm sure Leicester's crowds would be much bigger had they put in a decent track in the first place. That first year was always going to be vital in attracting new people to the sport - and there were big numbers to start off with. They came, they saw, and sadly, they didn't come back. Just the expected hard core now remain. The average crowd is way down on the original numbers expected and save the odd race, the consistently poor quality of the racing has much to do with that. Trying to alter the shape two years after it opened is a real case of the horse bolting and closing the stable door several hours after it's gone! Such a shame. Now you get supporters, and sponsors too, who were willing to give it a chance openly stating that these track alterations are the last chance saloon. Should never have come to that. The entertainment, much more than the results, will be vitally important this season.

Again you are Badly informed or i guess you know nothing as it clearly seems and make things up to sound like you do, I know several promotors who have great interest in looking on here to read what is said about there club and other clubs.

So please dont assure about something that isnt true.

If you do know promoters or riders as you say you do,do they humour you and treat you as a figure of fun or someone to be pited.
