Leicester Lions 2013

Recommended Posts

Lionking, By my calculations that gives you 40.63.(maybe wrong though)

I think good enough would be Nemo and Bjerre, especially if the track changes suit more racing than currently/previously. I also think that Graverson may get a go at 7. Previously I had seen comments that crowd favourites would be retained. Presumed and hoped that was Nemo but can only think of Graverson or Bjerre. I like Neilson and if we are premier still then would hope he has a place. Fisher looks a shoe in though in either Elite or Premier, probably why Nemo has gone (if he has )

If Leicester go E.L. I might just drag myself down there so I'd better start saving my pennies as soon as the decision is made because I won't be giving up on Coventry. I know there are some fans who are not keen but it makes sense to me with local derbies against Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Coventry on offer whereas the nearest track in the P.L. is Sheffield.

True. I just didn't count Peterborough as being in the Midlands area because I hate the journey from Leicester. Great track though - I love it.

I agree it will be a shame not to have Nemo in the team but i'm not 100% sure he would have cut the mustard in the EL for us. Probably best remembered as a PL hero. Having applied for the EL that's surely where we will be next year.

Well we can't have 7 number one's. He did a job for Lakeside. I'd rather see him than 'baby' in the team. If it's true i'll be sad to see him go

With the Leicester and Heathens clubs on the verge of passing Birmingham by in the future it would be no trouble for a trip to either.......

I agree with what you said though i do like Lasse as much as Nemo. My point with Nemo was that he'd be probably be more fondly remembered by Lions fans as our No1 when we were a premier league team than he will if he carries on riding for us in the EL and becomes a 4.5-5.5 rider.

Have I missed something? Are we we actually going EL next year or am I reading it wrong? As for Nemo leaving, (some say he's already gone) is this true as well? Just asking

We have definately applied to join the EL. I'm reliably led to believe we find out on Wednesday. I think if we are pl then Nemo will ride for us and if we go Elite then its Lakesides decision.

Was mentioned on radio during Poole v Cov meeting that the only way it looked like Lions would move up was if Belle Vue went down

fingers crossed then that Belle Vue stay where they are

I think the only way the Lions will race in the EL is if one of the 2012 teams drop out as Sky money x 11 means less money for the other ten clubs and if they all return I think they will close ranks on Leicester .

sad if a forward thinking, financially stable and ambitious club are kept out because of short sightedness at the top but speedway being speedway i guess it wouldnt be unexpected if short sighted short term gain wins out.
