speedflash
robert72 It wasn't changed midseason as the riders felt they had an advantage. Its being changed now and the riders will have as much time on it as they want before the season starts. We want better racing for the fans. Skodaman
So why change it with 5 lions riders remaining from last season who were part of the unbeaten home run, will they want the track changed Why are you asking; you were one of those that were continuously asking for it to be changed.
robert72
Why are you asking; you were one of those that were continuously asking for it to be changed. Oh i do want it changed and was one of many who expected it too happen last winter but it was all talk and no action, Glyn rightly said we want better racing for the fans, sadly the promotion didnt care about the fans last season and then again decided not to change it mid season because the riders apparently liked it,this i find hard to believe when riders like lasse are complaining about the track weekly. David hemsley also said the track was superb and producing great racing? is it david, then why were so many fans staying away and why has it taken 2 dismal seasons of gate and you win races and now you decide to change it ? this is another reason why this promotion is not ready for EL at the moment. I don't suppose you could give it a rest could you? Constant sniping at the promotion does nothing and we are all aware of how you, and a handfull of others on here, feel about the track. It's being changed in February and the fact that it wasn't done before cannot be altered. BTW, it's nice to see a rider who complained so much last season (according to you) signing up for us again. Apparently all of those now signed were keen to ride for Leicester ... or do you find that hard to believe too?

Robert72, you would still complain if there were 10 passes every race and we won all 5 competitions, because of your personal agenda (whatever that is and for whatever reason you have it) If you bothered to ask the riders last year on one of the hundreds of opportunities all us fans have to speak with them after meetings when they come into the crowd or in the bar after, you would know that the reason given mid season was correct. And as for Lasse, when the 'Scunthorpe' dirt was added he seemed to enjoy it well enough as indicated by his scoring and passing!
CardinalSin
A few really good looking sides being announced already, but Leicester's is the pick for me so far. Very powerful top end.

You will find that the track couldn't be altered in a week anyway and also I consider, as I have said before, the racing was far better cenerally last season, especially after the Scunthorpe shale was used. I would expect even better racing next season with the shape altered. It is not always down to the shape and surface material, it is also down to preparation and the skill of the riders. The surfade preparation in my mind at the staert of last season, when Gareth was in charge, was appaling!

So your saying one bend couldnt be done in a week and the other the week after when we had a 2 week break ? well if they are not starting the track changes to the secnd or third week in feb (weather permitting) and they say riders will have plenty of track time it seems they must be able too as they will only have just over 2 weeks if they want riders to try it out. I think its abit risky doing it that close to the start of the season.

msc1874
Can I just say visited Leicester twice. Loved it. Lovely stadium, lovely bar, great folk about. My family have lived in market harborough for years, for years I came from Scotland to visit. My parents regailed me with tails of Leicester speedway. I am so excited every time I go. As a monarchs fan I envy your set up. I don't think the track is great, but it's not bad by any means. It's a minor thing in the grand scale of things. I enjoy my visits and enjoyed my racing fix. The promotion are owing more right than wrong.

I thought DH running of the club was not the greatest but if you were in charge it would be closed down as you would end up with a handful of yes fans. rskinner
Can we get back to the team please (that,s what this thread is about) I think it is a good team with a lot of confidence flowing from the riders, promotion and the fans. If you all get behind the whole set up i can see a great season in prospect.

The fans on this forum are obviously unable to satisfy your need for answers to all things track, stadium and promotion related. Can I suggest to you that you get yourself down to BP and go and ask those questions directly to those in charge. You'll find them very approachable, very friendly and willing to talk. Oh, and they listen too, something that you seem unable to do. It's a great set up at BP, (probably one of the best in the country?), all of the staff are friendly, and if the track changes bring about the desired changes to the racing then I think we will be the envy of alot of people.

It's sad that although we've just announced a great team, which includes potentially two of the best up and coming riders in league (Roynon and Bjerre), our thread has been hijacked once more by the same couple of so-called 'Leicester' fans who appear to have shown absolutely no interest in this announcement at all. Says everything to me.

lionking
The riders would have more then 2 weeks because if the work is done mid feb there is a good chance we won't open till the last week kf march less league cup matches .
