wandersome
Just been playing with some figures the best yeam i can come up with is 1. Kauko Nieminen 8.18 2. Jan Graversen 4.91 3. Sam Masters 7.43 4. Jacob Thorsell 5.00 5. Nick Morris 8.00 6. Jari Makinen 4.56 7.Simon Nielsen 4.08 Total 42.16 Thats based on Thorsell 5.00 average being correct which im not sure if it is or not. What is everyones thoughts on that side above Not sure about Masters. He's never quite looked the hype when i've seen him which is not to say he isn't capable. If there issues are the same re: under 21's then i'd also have Bjerre over Masters. Makinen's season went a bit like Bondarenko's the season before. Every now and again he looked like he could do something only to be let down next time. Fragile machinery and fragile confidence apearing to be the issues with both. Makinen was the one who benefitted the most from no-one being able to overtake at BP! Wouldn't complain if the other 5 were in though!. lionking
I think the problem with Jari was some away matches he was beaten by conditions or the track you could tell by his riding style. If he got better equipment & his confidence issues sorted then he could be an ok 2nd string. I would back him to score at home but not away. Must admit i didn't take the U21's into consideration when picking my side
Hazzman
Must admit i didn't take the U21's into consideration when picking my side Well it's difficult to say who will be riding in the Series when qualification will not begin until April. As of yet, it's difficult to say if Masters or Bjerre will be away for a number of meetings
ukrossifan
Well as we learnt from 2012 you can never be sure who'll get to U21 GP, after all we thought Lasse would in 2012 Edited November 22, 2012 by hurricanes

Nielsen 6 Kerr 7 Blackbird i didn't realize we was entering a team in the national league, but not bad if thats the case we should be there or there abouts.
astra
Masters has just turned 21 so he won't be doing it. After being released from somerset he did a fair few quest bookings & never got under 10 points, a maximum included, I think he would do a good job. ukrossifan
I see Sam Masters posted on Facebook today about having no team for next yr yet and David Howe said probably due to not accepting wage cap on Points money in PL. Howe said he didn't have to accept a pay cut to get within wage cap as he rode for Scunthorpe in 2012 and not Somerset 😀 Love how people think Craig Cook will ditch edinburgh and sign for their club! Deluded he's already committed to Edinburgh for 2013 I heard
lionking
There is more chance of Richard Sweetman coming back to Leicester then us signing Craig Cook but hey we dare to dream. Suprised no-one has suggested we bring Sergey "meerkat" Darkin back for 2013.
Hunters
Thank You Hurricanes and Fanmail for the information as regards Hunters Era. I was able to contact Alan Jones and have bought two of the three books. Unfortunately the missing one is the one I wanted Hunters Era which is out of print. If any old Hunters fan has read it from cover to cover and finished with it I would be happy to buy it. Here's keeping my fingers crossed. wandersome
Love how people think Craig Cook will ditch edinburgh and sign for their club! Deluded Whilst i'm not saying Cook would sign for us sometimes it helps to act deluded and you never know who might be signable! I'm sure Workington fans probably say the same about Roynon but until the likes of Cook and Roynon have been signed you can never say never and Lions12 team might end up nearer to reality than we all think.. The last time I went in there, they had all three titles. You would need to have a spare day to read the Hunters era as they cannot be taken out of the library. JohnD7244 Enjoy your speedway. the hobbit
It has come to light that the reason that Leicester were refused entry to the Elite League was that Peterborough felt that having Leicester in, would have been detremental to their business and, said that if they were admitted, Peterborough would WITHDRAW from the Elite League. The other promoters didn't want to lose an established club and, for Leicester to be admitted, the vote needed to be unanimous. hence there was a unanimous vote against Leicester. Coventry Promoter just confirmed most of thses details on their radio phone in tonight without naming Peterborough but I can assure you, it was Peterborough who threatened to walk away. Can't reveal the source but 1000% correct. I think it's disgusting and yet again Peterborogh throw the toys out of the pram and threatened to walk away. Maybe it's time to tell them to sod off and replace them with a forward thinking, progressive Promotion like Leicester as opposed to a club like Peterborough who openly admit to making heavy lossses and being liable to close or sell up at the promoters whim. Disgusting. Edited November 25, 2012 by Bilbo Baggins
