Confirmed 2013 Gp Riders!

Recommended Posts

Congratulation to Tai Woffinden on being next years token Brit,I see nothing in Woffindens league scoring that scream out GP rider.

Got to agree with you there Screm.

Will support any Brit in the GP,S but overall its about seeing the Worlds best riders competing for the GP title not putting in a British rider to satisfy who, SCB/BSPA, the British public, BSI/IMG?

Some morons on here need to start backing Tai. Its not his fault he has been offered a place is it!! For the record he will be bottom and not a cat in hells chance of winning a gp. Wouldnt expect him to score over 8 in any meeting any takers? lol

I think he will score over 8 in a GP.

Seeing Darcy blasting round the Millennium Stadium is going to be a sight to behold. Most definitely going this year. As long as the tracks don't get screwed over, 2013 should be the greatest World Championship in living memory & there's no Brits to support.

Bring it on!!!!!!!!

DO you think this forum is representative of the speedway population as a whole?

"as a whole" ... how big is the "whole" you are thinking about?

In general, I'd probably make a guess that it is pretty respresentative, actually.

Some think Tai's selection is good and others disagree. There isn't a concensus.

I happen to be in the latter camp ... but it's only the opinion of someone who does not matter.

The people who count at BSI and the FIM have spoken and we just have to live with their decisions, don't we?

The sad thing about Tai is he is indeed a talented young man on speedway bike ... but fails to demonstrate the 'role model' qualities. He has a foul mouth and has little respect for people in authority within the sport. That said, there alot of riders that also fall into this category (and speedway should be looking at this anyway across the board) ... perhaps someone will be able to invest time into developing his off track skills as well and perhaps those that do not agree with this selection (including me) into the GP will all see another side to Tai in the future .

Given it's the "British" Speedway Forum, it most definitely not representative of the whole speedway population.

One would expect similar type forums in Sweden, Poland and Denmark to be even less enthusiastic about Tai's inclusion.

I personally don't think British supporters on here are anti Tai, but are open and fair minded enough to realise that GB don't really deserve the preferential treatment we get.

My opinion is that Tai will probably do himself justice next year, however, I loathe the fact that Britain gets a pick each year and I don't really think tai has done enough on the international stages to justify one.

Godd luck to Tai for next season, I think he will spring a few surprises. The GPS are about having the money and the committment - it's never been about the best 16 riders in the world. I'll be watching the league racing next year as always - never been a big fan of individual meetings. So whomever he rides for in the UK next year, I hope he gives them 100%.
