JCookie
Crikey, fiddled their averages to strengthen more than their rivals mid-season and now they want awarded a final place to avoid the chance of Workington beating Edinburgh! Some clubs are beyond desperate.
PremierRebel
From what Debbie said tonight it's Somerset vs Scunny in the final! BRING IT ON!
LagutaRacingFan
What the hell? How can you have a play-off final when one of the major fixtures hasn't been done.
PremierRebel
What the hell? How can you have a play-off final when one of the major fixtures hasn't been done. That's what I thought but apperenantly it was because Edinburgh had no fixtures left and Scunny finished higher in the league and on point ag! Take the mick! alan 1991
Its probably fair that scunny are to be in the final but it dosen't make it any easier for us long suffering comets fans. Its fair to say we had a slim chance at edinburgh but never the less a chance ,but we'll probably never know now ,our season is now ebbing away in farcical circumstances and we have one aim left tomorrow lets hope its concluded in the proper manner ,so lets throw the kitchen sink at the diamonds and hope its enough

scotchopper
i'm sure edinburgh could run it next friday, fat lot of good that would do. our off night is saturday so we could race tomorrow aah wait workington have a match. thoroughly disappointing all round. this really is a joke. the funniest thing is that the best solution is to award newcastle the title for finishing top as there is a pretty good chance borh legs of the final could get rained off.
cyclone
Well that's what happens when we have a protracted season with three separate match competitions, topped off with gimmicky end of season play-offs. Be better if Season ran from April to August and consisted only of a League Championship (with no play-offs) and a K.O. Cup. Better chance of completing events then.
stemoc
What a shambles this play off system has been, must say if I was a Newcastle supporter I would be pissed off that we had finished top and did not take the League Championship trophy. I appreciate that they ( the BSPA) want to end the season with a bang but let's face it its been a damp squid. No disrespect to those teams in the final play-offs but Newcastle deserve to take the league championship. And certainly in my eyes they are the 2012 PL Champions

montie
Still seem there is no news on this which isnt the best In future they should know what is happening in the event of these rain offs then everyone knows As it stands Somerset have less than a week to try and promote what is the biggest fixture of there season
DiamondsRock
What a mess the end of season playoffs are turning out to be. Looks like we'll end up with one finalist there because they won a 'mini league', and the other finalist because they beat another team on aggregate. Almost like they're making it up as they're going along. Next year, they may as well just draw straws for the title - quicker, cheaper, and guaranteed not to be affected by rain!
