p'boro lad
Lol  , but Dan is a good lad who has benefited from all the riding he has got in the MDL, but some teams in the MDL I think lost sight of what it was trying to acheive and give more track time to riders that needed it, they built big squads with a win at all costs attitude and hardly used the riders that needed track the time to bridge the gap between the amateur leagues and the national leagues (which was what all the fanfare was about when the MDL was launched),they should take a look at some of the the teams (several AJL Teams) that used a small core of riders all year and didn't have trouble getting riders to ride for them, a little bit of loyalty from a team (instead of ringing riders just to do away meetings that noone else will do because of travelling) would return a large loyalty return from riders willing to travel anywhere for their team that they are proud to be part of. The MDL has been a huge success this year and has helped many riders progress into the National League. Dan Greenwood has become a better rider and has gained a great deal of confidence from being involved in it which will benefit him a great deal in the future. The league has also helped the likes of Conor Coles, Liam Rumsey and Lee Geary. I think it is very unfair to say the league has been win at all costs and I beg to differ with anyone that says so. Myself and Laurence at Mercia always gave priority to those riders who did the away meetings for us as it is always hard to get riders to travel and they were the ones that were rewared with regular rides at Coventry.
