Bryn
After two previous rain offs will it be a case of third time lucky tomorrow as the IOW once again attempt to stage the National League play off semi-final against Mildenhall at Smallbrook? The Wightlink Islanders and their supporters will be hoping so as it'll also give them the chance to welcome ex-Islander and now World Champion Chris Holder back to the circuit where he spent the first two years of his UK career in 2006/7. Oh and there's the matter of pulling back a 22 point deficit against the Fen Tigers! Edited October 15, 2012 by Bryn
Halifaxtiger
Weather forecast looks good, so fingers crossed. I'll be making the journey by car, ferry, bus & foot (from Weymouth) and have told Sue I'll be available for update duty for those who can't attend. rhidassa
Updates will be available on the Speedway Updates forum I expect, the Isle of Wight section is http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Isle. A thread will probably be started for it tomorrow. Edited October 15, 2012 by rhidassa

Super Blue
Well , mission accomplished for the Tigers after a slightly dodgy start to the meeting and now looking forward to the final against The Heathens BTW , Its still all Dudleys fault !
cityrebel
a superb performance by young adam ellis was the highlight of an entertaining match on the island last night. it was nice to go to a meeting without having to check multiple weather forecasts! arnieg
a superb performance by young adam ellis was the highlight of an entertaining match on the island last night. it was nice to go to a meeting without having to check multiple weather forecasts! Agreed to both comments - a meeting with very little overtaking - yet still quite enjoyable. Crowd less than 150 (including Chris Holder) - I hope people weren't staying away for the football! And the good news for Isle of Wight is that they announced Ellis in their 2013 team. Edited October 17, 2012 by arnieg

I thought it was a decent match, too. Sadly, I doubt if there were 100 spectators.
neil3065
Good comeback by Mildenhall after the aggregate result seemed in the balance part way through the meeting. I dont understand why they use R/R at number five for a rider who is currently fourth in the averages. Surely more sensible to use R/R at 2, like they do at home. Wessex Wanderer
My first NL meeting of the season so a good reminder of what I am missing. Would agree that it was an entertaining and enjoyable meeting despite not too much passing. First time I have seen Adam Ellis and was very very impressed. Although not scoring as many as Adam I also thought Josh Bates looked good. Must remind myself to make an effort to see more NL Speedway next year.
Parsloes 1928 nearly
Sadly, I doubt if there were 100 spectators. Which (also after events in the top league too..) kinda makes a lie about the supposed merits of these divisional championship play offs...! cityrebel
Which (also after events in the top league too..) kinda makes a lie about the supposed merits of these divisional championship play offs...! the sad fact is derek, crowds are always poor on the island outside of the holiday season. although last night did seem lower than usual.
