Workington 2013

How ironic that our new promotor has put money into edingburgh & there team is looking much stronger than her own........ :-(

When you say OUR promoter skoobie I assume you are a Comets fan, as you sure do not act like one. If you had bothered to read about why OUR promoter put money to Edinburgh you wouldn't bother with stupid and inane comments like that. I am sure you have your reasons for being so negative about everything but surely the fact that YOUR club is still going is good enough

As for Edinburgh looking stronger I would like to simply say you are wrong.

Get a life and get a grip!

should have used the money maybe to bring craig back still cant see why hes not in our team

Are you half daft? You spout the same old guff about Craig Cook and hope somebody listens to your incoherent ramblings.

Craig Cook is an Edinburgh asset he is widely quoted as saying edinburgh saved his career hence why he came back. Honestly you have played this same tedious and boring point again and again. Honestly accept that cook was always coming back to Edinburgh

Skoobie should let it go, Craig rides for Edinburgh, move on. I wish he was here but he's not. Without Laura we probably wouldn't have had speedway so think positive! Craig is better than Rich though, Prem League champ, top of the averages and about 15 races in a row unbeaten in Prem League and a decent Elite League ave with clubs wanting to sign him. Having said that Rich has improved each season and did pass more last season than before, anyone at Sheffield when he flew past Kauko? "Style class and elegance" doesn't always win races.

Richard Lawson looks more and more like his father on track every time Workington visit. He looks pure class and will get better, he does every year. I don't think you can compare him and Cook. I am just glad that they are both young British guys tbh.

What Laura did for Edinburgh will never be forgotten with her generosity, Northern clubs looking out for each other. Just to add to this, I think Kyle could kick on to heat leader level this season. He has class.

20012 Team

Lawson

Ingalls

Bach

Roynon

Harrison

Howarth

Irving

Could have won the league

Very good side, but not enough people went and I suspect that the cost of that team was one of the reasons why Denham quit.

Aarnio, Howarth, Campton & Morris = 4 reserves I'm one team! Really can't understand why Tero has been re-signed? His average was going the wrong way last season!

I am not sure how you work out that Howarth & Aarnio are reserves when no other rider in the league in those positions has an average lower than theirs and most are lower than Campton. In any case, what their average is now is completely irrelevant as its what it is at the end of the season that counts. Adam Ellis is at reserve for Isle of Wight at the moment; barring injury, there's no way he will be come October.

For what its worth, I think the line up is a young one packed with potential. Lawson can still improve and Bach can get back to the big hitter he was with Newcastle. Morris, Howarth & Campton wil all go up and I don't understad the criticism of Aarnio as he is a very reliable second string. To me, the only gamble is Harrison and given his connections with Workington he's still a good signing.
