Workington 2013

Recommended Posts

We all know what Rusty is capable of on his day when his mind set is right, but last season he was clearly not a happy cooky, and would often disappear into the dressing room long before the end of the meeting, that is not the Rusty we want to see, do we want to take that risk again this season, and can we afford to sign someone who part way through a campaign decides its not what he wants? Sorry as much as I respect him as a rider in my opinion its not worth the risk.

Why do people want a rider who walked away from a team doing really well last season and left us high and dry with no replacement oh sorry forgot we got Arnio who went on to actually drop his average !!!!!!!!!

So people want us to sign both of them for the remaining two places wake up if they sign them two we are in for an average season next year.

Think I have to agree with you here, much stronger riders out there than Tero, a lovely lad but now with no return of Adam we need a strong pair to sign . Leicester, Newcastle, Ipswich, Scunny, all look very strong and we need to do the same to keep up with them. No disrespect to Rusty but too much of a risk in my opinion maybe a season away from Worky will relight his spark in the sport. Someone had mentioned Wells and Nedemark, now they would be a strong pair to sign :t: With no Adam a change is as good as the rest!!

1 thing i will say in rustys deffense was when the call went out that more fans were needed through the turnstyles to save the club from the outgoing owner, rusty along with his family went through the turnstyles to support the club

not taking anything away from whats allready been said about him walking out on the team

maybe he had his reasons maybe he just didnt want to ride most of us will never know but thats over and done with lets look forward to 2013 and hopefully we get 2 cracking riders to finish off the team

Rusty is a massive enigma. He has so much ability. Could the Comets rely on him for a whole season?

As a Monarchs fan, in terms of a consistent team man, you could a lot worse than Matty Wethers for one of the places. I am a massive fan if Ricky Wells, he is a great rider to watch. Think week in week out at Workington he would xcell!

I think rusty is getting a bit of a raw deal here, the season before last he was simply awsome especially around derwent park! He fell out with the then Workington promotion (and as we all know was certainly not the first rider to do do)not Workington speedway! Speedway is about entertainment & rusty certainly does that, we pay our cash to watch racers.

For me Rusty is a far better rider than Weathers/Nedermark/tully.......

I think with Wethers you get a team man who's great in the pits and for me is a 7 point rider on a 5.50 odd average. I think he would add a nice dimension to a good looking Workington team on paper.

I think we need you guys to be strong and given what your promoter did for monarchs I wish Workington nothing but success. I think Matt could help with that he's won 3 titles, 2 playoffs and 2 cups with monarchs an integral part of all of that.
