Seems like monarchs were cheated out of a win tonight according to cookie, hope a protest is going in

If that is protested and anything done about it that will open up a big can of worms. How many decisions can be seen to be wrong on a dvd afterwards. Shall we go back and change every single one of them and amend every result!!

The referee is in charge and make a decision at the time. If they have video replays available there and then they should use it but you cant just then go back afterwards and say you are wrong as you cannot then also say that the next heats would have played out the same if the scores were different.

Shall we go back and amend every footy result that has ever had a wrong decision because a tv replay afterwards says so??

P.s. my stance is nothing to do with being a scunny fan and liking the result as it was meaning as long as monarchs dont lose next week we go through ;)

wouldnt say too much or the earlier crossing of the white line might be brought up about 3 or 4 heats before ht 13 also if the edinbrugh manager hadnt dropped tully to use sargents 3rd ride in order to bring tabak in for him in ht 14 then edinbrugh might have won fair and square tully looked fastest edinbrugh rider after cookie who looked vey fast all night

lawson was very close to the inside line which side of it i wouldnt like to say but adam roynon passed cookie fair and squre in the same heat

Cookies antics in heat 13 were shocking got beat and can't take it, he is far a better rider than those stupid antics

dont think cookie was out of order to be honest he protested about what he thought

the crowd were cheering him and he cheered back some riders would have shouted abuse cookie didnt

Cookie is a talented rider but to park the bike after the heat in question was just silly , yes the crowd got on his back and he did get revenge in heat 15 , still got the crowd going. :P

yes cookie parked the bike but it was his mechanic that stood there with the bike untill the riders in the next heat came out and he pointed to them where he thought lawson had gone over the line but if he did go over the line they should have been looking about 4 ft futher round towards the back straight not the place they were pointing at

Good on Cookie I say, created a bit of atmosphere, thats what the crowd want. enjoyable to watch still don't know why we haven't got him in the team, but really think the move to Edinburgh has made him a better rider, The PL Averages back this up, been No 1 for a part of the season a great achievement given his short time in the sport.

Exactly! I wasn't at Workington tonight but, as far as I can tell, he got folks wound up a bit & no one died.

More of the same required. Desperately.

Re both wheels crossing the inside white line, this can occur at most tracks, and will be impossible to spot in most cases, unless you happen to have a clear view of the area where the incident occurs.

In the Polish League Play-Offs last Tuesday, Iversen was shown on replay to have had both wheels inside the white line, but this was undetected by the ref.

Installing raised kerbs would deter this practice, but might be considered a hazard if clipped by a wheel.

There is probably magic eye technology available that could be installed to monitor for infringements, but would it be affordable in these recessionary times ?

Anyway well done to the Monarchs in taking an unexpected point from this match and proving most pundits wrong who predicted at the start of the season that we would end up languishing near the bottom of the table.

Barring any further injuries, I do not expect Comets to take the required victory at the Dale next Friday, which would pip Scunny from deservedly meeting Somerset in the Play-Off Final.
