dantodan
Richie's starting average will be 5.78 (with a reduction if rules alllow?), so the chances of him becoming number 1 are remote (providing they keep the rolling averages). Ah Abbott, yes agreed so on a rolling average he would start at reserve and would be expected to progress into the top five as quickly as the greensheets allow, if his injury doesn't set him back. What a shame if he goes elsewhere
Chewbacca
At 5.78 he is likely to start at #2 with Steve and a 3 pointer at reserve
StevePark
this team would clean up in 2013 imo, if it would fit i would go for - Stuart Robson Rene Bach Ludvig Lindgren Claes Nedemark Richie Worrall Steve Worrall Chris Henry or whoever fits in tyson nelson !! Robbo 7.86, Rene 7.93, Ludvig 6.84, Claes 6.20, Richie 5.78. Stevie 4.03 = 38.64. Assuming it's still 42.5 points limit, that leave 3.86 for the final place. Christian finished on 6.84. I have no idea (and last I spoke to Rene, neither had he). All I was doing was telling Pablo133 the averages for the riders he named in his post. StevePark
Matty Wethers. if possible. A lot could depend on if Edinburgh run, of course, but Matty finished on 5.66. Final averages here:- http://www.speedwaygb.co/issues12/pl12_issue_24.pdf Sorry if I misunderstood. No problem. Brough Diamond
One point to bear in mind are the losses suffered by the promoters this year (like most others). The Worrals won't come cheap being able to command top dollar. We may find Danes (and especially Swedes) a bit of a luxury when most English riders and Aussies don't travel. That being the case, Christian may be far cheaper than Ludvig or Ned and that might sway the promoters thinking. I also suspect Robbo and Lemmo may be expected to take a pay cut which may not go down too well. Don't be surprised if the Promoters conference leads to a team building points cut. dantodan
Crowd levels this year have in my opinion looked ok but are they enough to make the promoters want to keep going? We have great promoters. They live locally and are Newcastle Diamonds fans, George goes way back as a supporter and Darryl is also highly commited he had major problems with his business a while ago and many promoters in his position would have chucked the towel in speedway-wise to concentrate totally on rebuilding their businesses. I hope they give us a sign that they will continue next year maybe by announcing a sponsor or a rider or two Edited November 1, 2012 by dantodan

Tsunami
has anyone else hinted that they won't continue ??? With the comments in the Programme saying that the club had made big losses, along with practically all other PL promotions, every possible outcome has to be considered. A lot of clubs are in trouble and it would surprise me if everyone ran next year.

A lot of clubs are in trouble and it would surprise me if everyone ran next year. My feelings exactly Dave. I have Posted consistantly on this. Sadly the Recession does not take in to account that Speedway people need to make some money too. With only 20% of the Cuts being effective at present - this implies that 80% are still to come. This means that there will be more than some Speedway Tracks going to the wall. We (and I include Speedway) are in for some VERY tough times ahead - we should not kid ourselves that we will be exempt from suffering problems - WE WON'T!!
