scaramanga
I like the look of this Team - but - with only one change. I would have Paul Starke in the Side ahead of Jason King. He is a fast developing newcomer to the Premier League who has not let us down this Season. I reckon we could have a real Star on our hands in a couple of years - it would be nice to see him refine his skills at Newcastle. Nothing against Jason - but - it is taking a risk with his injury situation. paul starke didnt look too bad at workington
NJC71
Richie for Rye House maybe? Why Rye House? Would have thought Richie & Steve both being back at Newcastle is the most likely outcome now that Richie has agreed to ride for Lakeside. Certainly hope that happens. The White Knight
Yes, all two of them. Yes - but crucially BOTH were very serious. As I say - I like Jason King, I also like Paul Starke who I think will develope in to a very fine Rider. I would like to watch him do that at Newcastle. :approve:

Backless
It mainly illustrates that while Bach is a useful rider, he'll never be a number one. Bottled it before his injury when briefly at number one at Newcastle and did the same thing at Workington until Lawson overtook him in the averages. He may well improve his average, he might even go EL at some stage, but not via a number one position

speedy19902006
It's going to be very tough for 1 of the current riders, my immediate thought is that Christian Henry will be replaced by Richie in the main body of the team. I hate to think like that as he was one of my favourite riders this year and done a hell of a job for us, however I think we need to retain Ritchie if possible. I thought Lemo was past it a bit, but after hearing him speak after the Final he clearly thinks has still got something left in the tank... If thats the case him coming back on a 7.27 average could be a blessing. Stuart is a must he is worth my season ticket being bought, the same with Lindgren. Claes has earned his right to be in the team next year. Travelling down to Ipswich for the 1st leg of the Knock Out cup was worth it just to see him ride with that much passion and desire. Bringing Steve is an obvious choice at reserve then either giving Paul Starke a crack at the whip of someone with a slightly higher average; Stuart Robson- 7.86 Mark Lemon- 7.27 Ludvig Lindgren- 6.84 Claes Nedemark- 6.20 Richie Worrall- 5.78 Steve Worrall- 4.03 Paul Starke (or someone with an average up to 4.52)- 3.00- Since Paul Starke liked my post we defiantly need to sign him = 40.98 Opinions? dantodan
At this stage it is too difficult to come up with 7 riders for next year, maybe forecasting that is easier than picking 6 numbers for the lottery but it is still too hard. Listing riders you would like is great fun so lets continue that until signings are made. Personally I would like to hear from the management that we are definitely running next year first up? So many teams this year have had rumblings of closing, lets hope they survive I would want most of our team back Claes Nedermark Ludvig Lindgren Christian Henry These 3 did nothing wrong and I would want them to be the basis of 2013 team. Great second strings and at times each one became a 3rd heat leader. No point in bringing in a similar average rider if we have them again. What we need is to boost top end strength. Robbo gets my nod as 2nd heatleader but alas I don't want Lemo back. We need a rider that can win heats 13 and 15 most of the time. So we need a proven new number 1 rider. Cannot suggest who at the moment maybe later in the winter we will know whose available. Of course Richie could be our number 1 but it is a gamble as he is not proven is he?. However, I would sacrifice any rider to have him in the team but I think he can choose any number of tracks to ride for, so its wait and see as far as Richie is concerned. I think Steve can do a Richie next year and we should offer him good money to stay with the diamonds. So my team for 2013 1. A proven Heatleader, or gamble on Richie Worral 2. Claes Nedermark 3. Stuart Robson 4. Christian Henry 5. Ludvig Lindgren 6. A 3pointer 7. Steve Worrall Wouldn't it be great to keep the twins? but if Scunthorpe hold their contracts then we will be under pressure to keep them
