screm
That's probably the one I am thinking about with it being local. Of course Lee got hurt in an actual meeting instead of official practice, so that might affect R/R. It was on your third bend, with DEEK involved, if I remember correct. Your correct, not sure if a TTT meeting would count as an offical fixture though so Im sure the management commitee will look at this with sympathy and grant Newcastle a facility for the time Tully is out for or should Tully`s absence be longterm then a facility to give Newcastle time to find a replacement. Tully has tweeted that he hasnt yet been fitted with a brace and will be in hospital over the Easter holiday.
Najjer
Im sure Berwick lost Lee Complin in the first meeting of the 2010 season,in a Tyne Tweed Trophy meeting against Newcastle and got r/r for the period of his injury. That was in an official meeting though. Still, it's nearly April so let the rule bending commence!

Massey Harris
Genuine question and not just to wind things up - is r/r an option when the rider hasnt ridden? Would it need a 'special dispensation' ? I believe it would and should be granted (if needed) The interpretation of the rule was 'broadened' some years ago to include riders in a declared and approved 1 - 7 that were injured in a winter meeting. New Year Classic, Telford and press and practice for example, I believe this was applied when Craig Branney was injured at Telford but the final word lies with the BSPA management committee.

Actually Paul Clews was the other rider. Deek was involved in a very similar incident at the same place on the track, resulting in a season-ending injury to"The Raj" later that year.
