Rye House V Ipswich 6th October

Ok forget to say, you can vote for Rocket of the year, for me it's between Two Jason -Garrity and Doyle!

And as only one of them is a Rye House rider it can only be one for you!

Sums up the state of the sport when a rider for another team gets the fans votes for their rider of the year!!

Whats wrong with that may I ask  its always been the same with riders on loan and always will be??? Unless you are harping back to the days of the great late John Berry when we actually owned all the riders in our fantastic team :D

He is not actually on loan to us (it seems like that as he has GUESTED for us so many times)

Another poor performance from the Witches beggars belief when nearly all of them are riding for their places next season!!! Only one after this shabby performance can hold his head up high and thats Dak, get him signed up CL pronto for next season :t:

Most of the lads have been going well recently. I just hope they were saving themselves (and their better machinery) for the more important meetings this Fri/Sat.

The sport is in a sorry state if a rider of the year for one club goes to a rider who rides for another club

Shut up you fool. Jason Garrity will win it by a mile. Only Anders Mellgren can come anywhere near.

Fool? For having an opinion?

How would I know who's the favourite to win the Rye House rider of the year? Still, I guess that's reason enough to call someone a fool.....

Nice attitude you have there.

Jesus, can you not bloody well laugh at anything, it as a joke.

Which was made plainly obvious.....or not

It's a term of endearment down these parts.

That was a decent meeting given it was against a very poor Ipswich team. Only Dakota North left with any pride. As far as the Rocket of the year garrity by a mile, not just for his racing but for his infectious enthusiasm without any of the shortcomings that were predicted by some Belle Vue supporters. Doubt that the daft old bugger who runs the club will get any congratulations for getting him to the club, making him feel welcome, keeping him level headed and assisting his progress just as he did with Woffinden and Sundstrom and likely will do with Robert Lambert too.

Id of thought Mellgren would have won the rider of the season... Garrity has been missing for a lot of it!

Would agree. Mellgren has been the only one to put his hand up on a number of occasions. Garrity has only started scoring points at the back end of the season and very rarely contributed away from home.

I reckon Mellgren could do a Sundstrom next season.

Very professional, doesnt drink and has shown massive promise this season.

When he first joined Newport in 2010 he was a bit of a gating tart... His spell at the end of 2011 seen him a changed rider and passing top riders at home and away.

After a very good season, i think next year will see him emerge as a genuine number one.

Highly rated by tony rickardsson who was his mentor when he rode for Newport which says a lot.

Think in two or three seasons he could well be a better rider than Kim Nilsson who when both were at Newport looked the far better rider

That didn't prevent Luke winning the vote most years.

Mellgren has to be Rocket of the year, nothing against Garrity who has been brilliant when not injured, he will only get better no doubt.

Anders has consistently top scored home and away, in a lot of cases being the only rider to show up away from home so to speak. Gonna be the man to watch next year in the Premier League.

Will uncle Len splash the cash to ensure that he is a rocket in 2013... ;)
