scunny1
Racing incidents happen and I saw it too. Several of our riders have been badly injured from the first meeting of the season till now-we currently are missing 3 heat leaders if you have not noticed. Pity you find it fit to joke about Auty, Ingalls is still injured and likely to be so for a while. I like Auty, good rider and exciting to watch. In that incident he was rash and impatient, it needn't have happened. I had a good view and it's the worst crash I've seen and I was going in the 70's. I hope you don't see one of your rides similarly injured, it's not nice.
Albert
Comprehensive thrashing given out by Scunny...Worky just simply didn't know what hit them. Apart from a brief flash of brilliance from Rene Bach, Workington offered very little resistance. (Least Bach looked in fine form...until..the most unfortunate engine failure and a nasty looking fall curtailed his personal score). For Scunny...Take a bow Michael Palm Toft, 21 paid max. Brilliant. Josh Auty riding through the pain barrier for another fine paid max (thanx to Bachs ef). The two Sheffield guests did a grand job and contributed well. However, the four regular Scorpions on show amassed a decent 47 between them, enough to have won the meeting on their own. A fine performance and some fantastic racing...just hope it'll be enough to take Scunny to the final, its out of their hands now.

scorps123
Yes Worky fans you were dreadful.Dont know how you can say Auty is dangerous when you have Bach unless he only rides like that when at scunny, great entertainment though the pair of them thats what i want to watch not gating tarts like your number 1. Yeh of course you've 3 riders out, I wouldn't be joking about it though . Josh was fast and had plenty time to pass. I'm not getting into the guests thing if you win the league, it's speedway. Can't see us beating Edinburgh twice Edited October 7, 2012 by comet49

Bach is usually superb at DP (and a few other tracks), not a good score tonight from Worky can see a all S S final.
EC Rides Again
Bach was fast tonight but tried too hard in the heat 12 when he fell, very unlucky to pack up when a mile ahead with the black and white colours on. Rest of the Comets had a night to forget. Can either of Worky or Edinburgh do the double over each other ? Said over the tannoy that Craig Cook is fit again (will ride in the PLRC next Sunday) so can't see an away win at Armadale. Big thanks to all the Guests used this weekend................ but it does leave a slightly unsatisfactory feeling to events.
montie
If im honest i had an awfull feeling all day that Worky would do something tonight, couldnt have been further from the truth,a fine team like the comets have shouldnt have been smoked by 34 points,ex home riders like Tero Morris and Howarth, plus two tac rides, should have kept this close Oh,and take a bow Scunny, all did really well but MPT in that form around the EWR,well no one would have beaten him if we were still racing now That track had 88 races on it today which really is quite outstanding,i was there since around 12pm today and everything from a paid full house for MPT to seeing the 3 tots on pee wee 50`s ealier was just class, Lastly, i hope Lee Dickens young lad feeling as well a could be expected after what i heard was a broken leg earlier in the day,get well soon young man

June
Brill performance from the Scorps! MPT you have your MAX which has been a long time coming. A huge well done! You were AWSOME! A bonus tonight was having Josh back, our 4 youngsters fire each other up, confident and determined for all to see. Thanks to our guests for their contribution. Have the Scorps done enough to get to the final. I certainly hope so!
Guest WTF1
stay positive boys! chins up Comets for the final i say ps get off Lawsons back!!!He's our number 1 for a reason It will be a travesty if Workington get to the final after this comprehensive thrashing ps who was on Lawsons back ,was this the reason he showed little interest when missing the gate

Have the Scorps done enough to get to the final. I certainly hope so! Possible guests for tonight were a bit restricted, so Josh rode despite being not quite 100% yet with his wrist. And got a paid maximum As for MPT, he was brilliant!! Great all-around team performance. All the best Rob
stratton
Scunny should take a lot of credit with MPT started slowly this year but stuck with him always believed in him.A example to other clubs change for change sake often backfires.Glasgow have done this with Campton and he looks a prospect and O'Malley could come back and still make it over here.DId Josh tonight make any decent starts or did he have to come from the back.? iris123
Agree there sidney.Glad i helped in a small way to get him the gig.Never thought he would be outscoring Rene, who was one of my favourite juniors. But could see that MPT didn't lack determination and also can be quite exciting at times Like you say Scunthorpe give their riders a chance rather than chopping and changing

IronScorpion
Now THAT was what real speedway is about. Not your GP's or EL gate & go on sky but real racing & passing. I could not have seen that scoreline after being 15-15 after 5 hts but this last 2 months of results have been about scoring points consistantly, not getting lasts. 4 in the 1st 5 did not help but not a single one after that(a team talk maybe-if so, it worked) Possible guests for tonight were a bit restricted, so Josh rode despite being not quite 100% yet with his wrist. And got a paid maximum As for MPT, he was brilliant!! Great all-around team performance. All the best Rob Josh was not 100%! Could we tell! Even after being left nowhere to go in his 1st ht. MPT, take your hat off son, what a meeting to behold but i thought be happy with what you have achieved after 6 rides, your paid max. But no, as he has done before, he goes out & wins ht15. Rob, get him another engine like this one as he has nailed on a spot for 2013. A big thank you to our guests recently. I have previously posted that some of our guest have just turned up, not to hurt their own teams & take the money, but lately they have raced for the Scorpions & what we could achieve, a bit of history. We already have made a bit this year but, hopefully, there is more to come. Another point worth making, our missing weekend jaunt rider! Will he ride for the Scorpions again? Judging by Robs views on the mike, i don't think he was impressed with his attitude towards the Scorpions, more for his fellow Aussie. Well done Holder for beating Pederson!
