EC Rides Again
Auty 8.09 Morris 8.00 Howe 7.89 R. Worrall 5.78 Birks 5.59 S. Worrall 4.08 Nielsen 3.00 Total: 42.38 In response to the Richie will be back at Lakeside and Stefan will be at Ipswich responses that are likely to come, they won't be if they are at Scunthorpe and they are your assets Hope you're right Richie will be among the most sought after signings for both EL and PL for 2013. I presume Rob Godfrey will have to approve any deals. Edited October 5, 2012 by EC Rides Again
eric i
If he scored well from reserve he would be back in the team though!! Not necessarily, it depends if he achieves an average greater then riders in the main body of the team, he could easly put a point on his 4.66 average and still be at reserve. Besides riders have good and bad years depending on a number of factors, such as what home track they ride for. If you look at Carls average at the beginning of the season its almost 2 points higher than his current average that suggests under the right circumstances i.e riding for Scunthorpe he could put points on his average. duffyscouse
Josh Auty - a born entertainer and winner, never knows when hes beaten Ash Birks - a rare gent in modern times and has gone from strenght to strength TJ - Danish flyer and will be bona fide heat leader mateiralin 2103 (Sheff doubters take note - er squall n co R.Worall - a final PL hurrah and club asset to boost - robbed of an top averaging 2012 Nick Morris - cos the elite snt enough - would be fab to see him return Wliko/Gazza/MPT - whichever fits - personallt id go with the latter two if we can accomodate Stefan Nielsen/tom young - assuming we need to put a 3pointer in these two are bang likely - id plump Stefan JUST
IronScorpion
Howe has been a Scorpion even though he's been injured, he's still been around the boys so i can see another year for David at Scunny. As for Nick. He came to Scunny to ride more & get his sharpness back. He's a Glasgow asset(as far as i am aware) & Rides for EL Swindon. He wanted to ride in the foreign leagues but did not get a spot. These are the contensious issues. We have done well this year as riders have improved their away form & also because of the change in personnel. Take nothing away from Armstrong & Aarnio is was their injuries & averages combined which meant changes HAD to be done.

Yeah he is still on Glasgow's books but i am sure if the right offer was made i have a feeling the new Glasgow promotion would cash in , same goes for Josh Grajzonek they would more than likely sell here too depending on other teams having spare cash which is highly unlikely. EDIT: Or was that 2100? He has never stood at the side of you like me when the Worgymeister has been riding at Sheffield. Not quite as obsessive as you are about The Rambo Kid.

It will be interesting to see whether or not Nick rides in the PL Play Off Grand Final (if Scunthope qualify). I can see Rob and Nick kissing and making up for this year, but I never expected the young Aussie to be in the 2013 team any way. ps if you're reading this Nick, just tell Rob "it was that nasty Rosco fella made me do it". scunny1
What is the Scenario of Scunny qualifying EC.? Scunny can do no more ,only wait for Worky to beat Monarchs at home then Monarchs to beat Worky at home. We then go through to final with dare I say it ...Somerset.But then if Rebels lose at home the Lions are back in the frame.... It used to be so much easier when one with most points won the league, but play off finals are great atmosphere- Well Saints v Mildenhall was last year. EC Rides Again
scunny 1 has it. Scunthorpe must rely on both Edinburgh and Workington exchanging victories, if either team does the double then that will see Scunthorpe eliminated. Workington are at home this Saturday with the return at Edinburgh the following Friday, so it will take until then to decide who advances to the final. bullet
Here are my initial thoughts for next Years team Davis Howe 7.89 Tommy gun 6.42 Richie W 5.78 Ash Birks 5.59 Steve W 4.03 Palm tree/Wilko/Tom Armstrong 5.21/4.66/5 This leaves 1 place left and depending which of the 3 to partner steve at reserve will leave between 7.58 and 8.13 for our final member Wilko would leave us enough for nick or Josh but think they will probably concentrate on EL next year We easily have enough for a new 7pt Dane or swede but its finding the right one and the likes of Mikkel Michelsen looks like now he has finish studies is likely to go straight to EL. I like the look of Jonas B andersen. Alternatively as an outside punt would like to see either Daniel Ivanov or Andrej Karpov but think they will be too busy doing poland/sweden/denmark to race a PL season
Lewis
You seriously want to have Tom Armstrong back?? The guy cant make 4 laps never mind an average, I'm sorry but I've got to disagree with you on that one. I'd love to see Richie W back but cant see it, I think the bullk of the team will be pretty much from this season with a great quintet of Auty, Howe, Birks, Jorgy & Palm Toft which leave 9.3 for the final 2 riders; Final 2 rider combinations which could fit & at least have some realistic connection with Scunthorpe & assuming Nielsen has already decided on Ippo, in order of preference; R.Worral 5.78 / Young 3.0 H.Skidmore 6.13 / Young 3.0 Bunyan 5.14 / Irving 4.0 T.Aarnio 5.76 / Young 3.0 Wilko 4.66 / Irving 4.0 R.Worral, Bunyan & WIlko's average's are ridiculously low. Got to agree with your "core" five riders. Much will depend on the regs coming out of the AGM next month re. "double uppers". Riders like David, Josh and Richie will be prime candidates for Elite League promoters to include in their teams in 2013. Will David, Josh and Richie concentrate on one league or still ride in both EL and PL ? The race nights of the clubs involved will be the issue, so Richie with Lakeside or Josh returning to Coventry would be affected in particular. Tom Armstrong could return only after proving himself back down under over our winter. I certainly think that the morally correct thing to do would to give him a chance back at the EWR if he is riding competetively in Australia. Tom couldnt do 4 laps after his accident. Do you think we signed him in the first place because he was that bad!! He spent plenty of time over here ther previous 2 years and he showed he can race. At press and practise he showed he had the speed it would be about learning the tracks. It wold all depend on how he had recovered and performs over the austrailan season i dont think he would want to come back over himself unless he was back to full tilt.
