Wild Man Vic
I can't see how Worky can complete the season now. If they got to the finals of all the competitions they would have three play-off home matches, two KO Cup home matches, two League Cup home matches and the outstanding home match v Berwick in the league to race - that's EIGHT home matches to run in October! scaramanga
8 meetings i think it is in 4 weeks double headers please at discounted price as we cant afford we cant afford 2 meetings a week
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
The Witches are due at Edinburgh Friday week so would expect double header the following night after Comets/Monarchs play off meeting.
Super Blue
8 meetings in October. Double headers . Does sadly bode the question about the financial side of how things will work and how much more or less money can be obtained by doing this . Don't know too much about Workys stadium rental finances etc but I seriously hope these circumstances are not the final nail in the coffin ! Don't know too much about Workys stadium rental finances etc but I seriously hope these circumstances are not the final nail in the coffin ! but if the meetings arnt run the penalty could be even higherif meetings arnt run dosnt the promoter loose the bond somewhere round £25000 to £30000 ive read it is the stadium rent is daily i believe but things like medical cover and the stewards might want a little extra for a longer meeting but no messing around and 2 meetings can be run in a good time Edited September 30, 2012 by scarra
Wild Man Vic
It's still asking a lot to run four successive double-headers and if it rains again ........ which it surely will! The play-offs are a total joke - give Newcastle the title and be done with it!

ciderman
Yes four double headers or off night meetings, huge cost to the fans and promotion this month, could these be the final nails in the coffin? Suppose he could tell the team to lose the others and concentrate on winning the Play Offs!
aljack
It must be a pain in the bum being a Workington fan they seem to have more meeting postponed than run, the weather there must be awful. 8 meetings in October seems impossible unless all double headers and that is if it do not rain on Sundays - some hope
