but when it is your money being spent sponsoring a rider wouldn't you want that associated with a rider that is professional and comes across well in media and public rather than how Bridger had acted in the past and part of the reason he lost sponsors

Agree with what u day but hagon sponsors holder and ward not exactly proffesional are they holder is getting there but ward is far from that

agree re Holder and Ward but they have the added exposure of riding in the bigger leagues and in Holder's case winning the World Championship this year while carrying Hagon sponsorship

Still cant see why people on here have been trying to say what sponsors should sponsor what riders.

If hagon want to sponsor aussies , two of the worlds best riders in fact, then thats up to them.

They have done more than their fair share of sponsoring brits... Louis, screen, richardson and bridger are four off the top of my head

Let again another topic that blames British speedway for the failure of British rider ...the bottom line is Bridger has had chances a plenty to kick on in speedway and has fail to take them .

As many has said Lewis has grown up a lot of late and comes across as much better person than he ws a couple of years ago so i wish him well and i hope he stays in the sport but i not going feel sorry for as he has only himself to blame .

On hindsight, I'd actually prefer to have Lewis at Lakeside, rather than lose a talented Brit to the sport for good.

Hopefully, he has matured. Cookie could man-manage him no doubt and the Hagon sponsorship may just re-materialise.

But the crux of the matter is that he rode his nuts off to win Rico's meeting, and looked pretty exceptional. He DOES have a lot of ability and potentially still some untapped talent.

He may have made mistakes in the past, but come on! Were all of us on this forum completely 'whiter than white' during our youth? I know I certainly wasn't! Or did we all make mistakes, that we later regretted and learnt from as we matured?

So I take back what I said on the Lakeside 2013 post. If becoming a HAMMER gives Lewis a final chance, then good luck to him.

I'm beginning to think he wouldn't let us down after all, and may just be the sort of bloke we are looking for.

I'd like to see him at Lynn.

I would still like to see him at Eastbourne but if the only way he can survive as a speedway rider is to double up ( if permitted ) then I can see he will need to move to another track. I really hope that it all works out for him.

Lewis Bridger is a very talented motorcyclist, and I believe that in the correct environment and with the right people around him (and some decent sponsorship) he can be an 8-9 point rider in the EL. It needs to happen soon though.....with every passing year the chances of him fulfilling some of his potential are diminishing. Going back to Eastbourne yet again wil do him no good.

Judging by his twitter account, He is struggling and can't seem to afford to be a Speedway rider anymore, I think the BSPA needs to change the rules and allow Bridger to double up in the Premier League.

"Tomorrow's meeting at Swindon could be my last meeting in speedway as I very much doubt I will be able to afford to finance speedway in 2013"

:(

"Dugards bailed me out last winter to get setup for 2012 and I spent the whole of 2012 just repaying them!"

I don't know what the rules are but riders with averages like Lewis Bridger has most certainly be allowed to drop down into the BPL and double up into the BEL because their averages plus 60% would convert to 9 or less which is surely acceptable. Currently there are at least 30 riders in such a position whose presence would strengthen the BPL standards and narrow the gap between the 2 leagues.
