topaz325
Workington take on the Lions from Leicester in this PL fixture, could be a tough one for Worky with the likes of Niemenen, Bjerre and Karlsson riding for the opposition. Hopefully we can attract a big crowd to Derwent Park on Saturday night to try and secure the future of Speedway at Workington.

HarryMango
Both Karlsson & Makinen were injured last night & didn't complete all there rides, anyone have any news on how badly they were hurt? & will they be riding tonight ? Magnus was taken out & pushed into the fence bend 1-2 & was down for quite a while - the report was leg problem - rode in the rerun & his next two races but didnt look right & was replaced for his last ride. Jari landed heavily on his shoulder - got the bike off the track but seemed in a lot of pain - was given a ride back to the pits on Edinburgh bike but apparently spent the rest of the meeting in the back of the ambulance; ironically this was Jaris best meeting for a while. On lions website it says Jari has declared himself fit for tonight & they are hopeful Magnus will be ok too.

mrcts
Another huge away defeat. The other teams must be rubbing their hands together at the prospect of being in Leicesters group in the play offs. We need wholesale changes next season if we are to be competitive away from home!
