ciderman
The Rules: Taken of BSPA Site. - The play-offs are split into two groups of three teams. Teams finishing 1st and 2nd after the initial 24 meetings get to choose the two teams they wish to have in their play-off group. A total of a further 4 meetings are then raced in each group (2 home, 2 away). The winner of each group then race off over two legs in the Grand Final. Winners of the Grand Final are crowned Premier League Championship. Am I being thick here!! read the above, should that not read 6 meetings?? So lets say Newcastle pick Workington & Edinburgh My thoughts are it would be. Newcastle V Edingburgh Newcastle V Workington Edinburgh v Newcastle Workington v Newcastle Edinburgh v Workington Workington v Edinburgh Answers, thoughts!!! montie
Surely Newcastle will pick Edinburgh first wont they after thumping them last weekend,Edinburgh will bring alot of fans with them down to Brough park im sure that will help the finances
racers and royals
Thinking about it the statement about the teams finishing 1st and 2nd get to chose the 2 teams they wish to have in their play-off group isn`t strictly true.Because team finishing top picks a team team finishing 2nd picks a team team finishing top picks a team team finishing 2nd has what`s left. Teams race 24 meetings (12 home, 12 away). = Total 24 Meetings, Thats right So where does the, a total of 4 Meetings in each group come from 2 home & 2 away. Just don't get it lol

Got you thinking lol, Or do the team finishing top, pick the two teams they want in their group first, leaving second with whats left in the case above Scunthorpe v Leicester & Somerset?? lucifer sam
Difficult to discuss this one yet, as Newcastle, Scunthorpe and Leicester still have a chance of topping the table. All the best Rob

Tsunami
What if top pick 2nd? Cancel all the other meetings and just have a 30 heat oneoff final. Job done and no fixtures problems.

Arson fire
So now we know Newcastle have 1st choice who will they choose 1st and who will Scunny pick 1st ? I'd pick anyone bar Edinburgh, fancy us against Any of the 5 at home and to pick up points at anywhere bar Armadale.....Somerset will be the last ones chosen I think... Could end up with 3 fri tracks in Scunny Edinburgh and Somerset!!

mrcts
I think Leicester would be the first pick, terrible away from home, another big defeat tonight to go with yesterdays debacle at redcar.

Tsunami
Wouldn`t think Scunny will have that-if you pick leicester they might then pick worky That's what I forecast will happen. Newcastle will then go for Edinburgh and Scunny will be left with Somerset. So that's Newcastle - Leicester - Edinburgh (Friday Saturday Sunday weekend for us) and Scunny - Worky - Somerset.(Friday X2 and Saturday) We might have to consider a full weekend for our ties, as we also have to have to ride meetings against Worky and Somerset in the KO Cup and LC Edited September 21, 2012 by Tsunami
