DC2
They were top of the league last year . They only just won a lot of matches last year & Magic's no Miedzinski or Kaspzak so I can see them losing a few at home & only occasionally threatening away !!!
A ORLOV
assuming Hans and Troy sign there was plenty of room average wise for Doyle instead of Kennett. But Jason rides for the same PL team as Nick, add to that the fact that Somerset race on a friday and more EL clubs also have a race night of friday it would have been too much of a gamble having to replace two possible d/u riders. They only just won a lot of matches last year & Magic's no Miedzinski or Kaspzak so I can see them losing a few at home & only occasionally threatening away !!! Especially to Swindon and Kings Lynn. Crazy robin
assuming Hans and Troy sign there was plenty of room average wise for Doyle instead of Kennett. Not what the numpty of Sherbourne said though as he said Doyle instead of Nick.
foreverblue
Magic may not be as good as KK but Miskowiak is better than Andersson and whoever we get cannot possibly be worse than Kling!

Correct they are weaker this year just like Swindon, but i can't see how anyone can say the build there team wrong last year when they came top of the league only to be beaten by a really good Swindon side in the final after getting key riders injured before and during the final .
wjm
Like the look of the EL next season, still early days but a lot more balance between sides, Kings Lynn look better than most, but, as always, the more riders announced the stronger/weaker some sides look. malcolm_31
Swindon only wanted to use 2 doubling up riders. Had Doyle said he was going to concentrate on Elite league of course he would of been in the team. My guess is the Swindon promotion see Morris improving his average more than what Jason would...Hence he has been selected. Makes perfect sense to me. Couldn't go with 3 double uppers, should we be without Doyle you would struggle to get a rider in from the Prem league to cover Jason scores. Again if Kennett had been doubling up it would be the same problem and I am sure Swindon would not of gone with him.... Bagpuss
The risk with the Poole team is that it relies so heavily on two riders, more so than any other team. If it was a choice of who returned out of Doyle and Morris which seems likely then Morris is the correct choice for me. Plus Kennett is potentially better than Doyle IMO. DunRobin
Looking like 2012 was a one off for the Robins. This team is looking nowhere near as good as last years lineup. I like Eddie K but he is a 6 point rider. No Doyle is a major blunder for the Robins IMO. Would have chosen him over Morris any day of the week. This team might just scrape into the playoffs, depending on announcements from other teams. But that's not a team to defend a championship. Poole and Kings Lynn already looking far stronger. Usual tripe, Morris is more likely to improve his average as you well know. Just the usual Swindon baiting from a former resident!
orion
Going back to the Swindon team there can be no doubt it's a very strong top five but the key is going to the young pole at reserve. if he is poor then we will be in trouble as Birks is likely to find it tough going . Think i might have gone for a weaker rider in the top five and a stronger reserve but we shall see . theblueboy
I see Lord Haw Haw is on the scene again. There is plenty of improvement in the team still. Kennett, Batchelor, Killer and Morris can all improve half a point, which puts Swindon in the mix already. Hans is solid and can improve slightly IMO. Jury out on the reserves. Team has been built correctly and difficult decisions made but a decent defence of the title assured. Better make sure there is some Brasso on the Christmas list MR....keep that trophy gleaming. DC2
All but BIrks have got half a point improvement in them, especially Hans. Maybe not Batch though cos just doesn't apply himself & is destined to be an 8 pointer until he has an NKI breakthrough year!
hyabb17
assuming Hans and Troy sign there was plenty of room average wise for Doyle instead of Kennett. No, with Hans & Batch it total 36.05 which only leaves 6.45. Not enough for Doyle.
Najjer
No, with Hans & Batch it total 36.05 which only leaves 6.45. Not enough for Doyle. I'm also assuming, with Nick Morris and Jason Doyle at Somerset, if there was a clash in dates it would leave Swindon pretty vulnerable. noggin
Eddie is a decent signing, and should with change of track & Rosco's guidance add at least a point to his average. I am slightly worried about the Reserves & wonder if Zengi and extra points on a stronger reserve were considered? but otherwise its all shaping up as another good team, roll on march. Chris
Good side. If Gomolski can hit the ground running it will take a good side to finish above them. Kennett under Rosco will be fine. Didn't look as though he was interested in riding for Horton last year and seems to get on well with Rosco. Without the pressure of a healeader role and with Rosco to give him a kick up the arse when needed he should get back to a 7.5 average.

Crazy robin
Happy with the top 5 but do have serious concerns at reserve but I guess as long as they perform at home then a place in the top 4 should be well within our grasp & then anything can happen anyway. Also glad that we've kept a large part of last seasons squad together but really can't undersatnd how the promotors didn't look to have a club assett who can come in if one of the top 5 is missing rather than r/r in the squad. Be interesting to see if jason gets fixed up with a Elite team or will be kept in the wings in case of injury etc. Will Zengi also go out on loan as heard he was keen on a return to Britain in 2013.
