Starman2006
Yes you can buy a Swindon 2012 Champions outfit for Steve. Then you'd better sell out this year, if you don't they'l be growing mushrooms!!!
A ORLOV
Then you'd better sell out this year, if you don't they'l be growing mushrooms!!! They will be valid till Sept 2013, and then hopefully we will only have to change the 2012 to 2013. Midland Robin
Which is in contast to the Excalibur site saying there is a store. Who's correct? Keith, Those vouchers were printed at the end of November, ahead of the original date for the light switch on which was 'rained off'!! At that time it was the plan to open a shop in the Brunel Centre in conjunction with Pebley Beach, STFC and the Wildcats. Unfortunately, the unit we thought we were going to get fell through so the plan has been put on ice. The flyer was, however, correct at the time it went to print. Other merchandise will be added to the online shop as it becomes available including a yearbook specially commissioned to celebrate our long overdue success. We also hope to open the club shop at the track before Christmas. The operation of the club shop has been brought in house and will now operate from the portacabin on the first bend. Hope you guys approve.

Do you think it would be a viable excercise?

We wouldn't have known until we'd tried it but in the right place with all the town's sports clubs under one roof I think it would have worked, certainly in the run up to Christmas. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Obviously the trick would be to make sure the merchandise was of a decent standard in the first place (most speedway stuff is terrible) but it would be interesting to see the effect this had if it was to happen. BuzzCagney
I'm not really knocked out by what i'm seeing merchandise wise so far. The Logo is far too big for the stuff to be used on a daily basis. Its race day stuff imo. A bit more subtle and tasteful is perhaps the way forward.
A ORLOV
That is a pity that the shop fell through, with the Speedway, Football and Ice hockey merchandise available before Christmas it would have also raised the profile of the clubs to people who may never attended some of them.

Would you walk around Aldi/Lidl/Tesco/Asda in a Swindon Wulfsports jacket? sadly some do!! That Robin is bloody big and scary though. Hopefully some purple stuff will be available..original colour, like the French rugby team that play in pink. I like the new gear meself. Hopefully wont keep changing design like these money-grabbing football clubs. Will be purchasing before Xmas at club-shop at The Abbey...good idea. thecoombdog
What's the definition of "missing" though? I appreciate you are allowed a guest if the rider has a clash with their PL club, but what if they are injured, otherwise unavailable or are riding overseas - do you get a guest or do you have to use your #8 or a 6pt PL rider? Kennett's Final Averages 2007: 7.11 2008: 7.29 2009: 7.72 2010: 6.63 2011: 7.84 2012: 6.25 I think it's fair to say he the potential to be a point better than is average at the end of last season, even if you ignore 2011. Well going on those stats he was gash in 2010, cheated in 2011 and got the average up and then gash again in 2012.

He wouldn't have been my choice but you have to say the average is unlikely to go down and he will be a 2nd string so I can see the logic behind his possible inclusion.

I actually think its not a bad signing esp the way he goes round our place. Just makes me laugh when a rider signs after a couple of bad years and everyone says straight away hes on a bargain average and will add a point to it!!
