Swindon 2013

Recommended Posts

Not being paid company to company on time is a world apart from not paying someone who works for you .I don't expect many people would go to work without being paid so don't expect Hans to .

I was self-employed and worked for various companies, I would guess that Hans has something similar going on...

...not that I have a clue about speedway finances..

Taken from twitter

@Hansi_Andersen: Never Judge before the truth is known. A story always have two sides! Enough said for now. Stoked with the win 2night 😝 shame my engine went

@Hansi_Andersen: This one is for the fans, NO I will not be at Lynn tomorrow Sorry 😟👎 but like I said two sides to every story. Truth will be heard soon.

Not looking good, feel sorry for the Swindon fans as ones kept in the dark.

So what happens now?

What a crock! I think his non-appearance has finally scuppered our chances of the play-offs and I, for one, am pretty angry about the whole situation. Until either Hansi is riding for us again or we the fans get a satisfactory explanation of why he isn't (and is now banned) then I won't be attending. Totally sick fed-up of the lack of communication this year from the promotion and I don't need to put up with it any longer!

Hard to comment until the facts emerge about Hans effectively refusing to ride. The Robins fans really deserve better communication from the promotion though, you cant treat people who pay at the turnstiles with contempt because without the fans there is no club.

But as seen on Twitterland very often, promoter & managers constantly critisise us all as know nothings for having opinions

To be honest the missing of riders on a regular basis recently is really undermining your season.

Clearly something is up with Hans and Swindon and that could completely derail your challenge.

Either Hans deciding to ride in Denmark is a punishable offence, and he must take some responsibility in that.

With the agreed working world league programme (with start of the season fixtures taking priority) one can only assume that the Denmark fixture isn't the priority at the start of the season.

Still, think its odd because i thought their own country meetings took precedent?

Clearly Hans`s Twitter comments indicate all is not well.

Looking at it from a non-supporters view, I don't think Hans is the type of rider/person who just doesn't turn up for his team or with-hold his services easily so something must be going on. When he wasn't getting paid from Peterborough he did continue to ride for them for quite a while until he realised they were taking him for a ride.

Am I right in thinking that so far Andersen has only ridden in 8 of the 13 league fixtures so far this year?

He'll be missing at Kings Lynn, then banned from 2 home meetings...so pretty soon that will read 8 from 16.

Is anyone happy at having a #1 who is only present for half of the time with no commitment to any of the rest of the season? OR is it a good tactic to have someone missing so often that track specialist guests to be hired to suit the circumstances and the away tracks being visited?

IMHO, Swindon need to sack him and replace him with someone who can fulfil their fixtures and if they don't do it voluntarily, then it's time that the BSPA withdrew their facility after the two meeting ban in order to force the issue, to be fair to the rest of the league.

Seems some were right pre season about Patchett, as dodgy as they come

To be fair though andersen is a dane and hes riding in a danish fixture imagine the uproar if woffinden missed a british fixture to ride in sweden?

If i was a rider id personally give my home countrys league priority over any other. And thats exactly what Andersen is doing here

Poole 10/1? Got much better odds than that a couple of weeks ago. Still 10/1 isn't bad to grab right now, with Swindon suddenly looking like they are going to implode with Hans refusing to ride.

Gary Patchett has gone on record saying crowds are down, and if fans don't turn up the business becomes unviable leading to potential financial issues like this one "could" be.

Hope the situation is resolved but when riders go public like this, relationships are broken and I would be suprised to see hans back at Swindon this year.

Yes 10/1 must reflect this weeks results, anyway once you air your dirty laundry in public people can see just how far up sh!t creek you are. not very often theres smoke without fire.

Clearly there's an issue with the Swindon promotion and Andersen. Being the number one Swindon can use guests for a month but finding a replacement may prove difficult unless the two parties can "patch" up their differences.

Crowds should be swarming to Blunsdon this year. I can understand the uneven fixture list and not a full 1-7 every week as reasons but there was reports of poor crowds early on when bigger crowds were surely expected. Has the football teams success recently put a dent into the speedway?

Fans fed up being kept in the dark & if crowds are down then Gary & Rosco only need to look in the mirror to see who's fault it is.

All what you say at the beginning adds to it as well as Thursday night was always speedway night & now I don't miss it like I thought I would.

Swindon speedway for me was watching the brilliance of Leigh & Lee & after what happened to both of them the place just isn't the same.

I travel to watch Somerset now to get my fix & hope Jason & Nick are leading the Robins in the Premier Lge next season.

Elite lge speedway has blown it for me.

The Robins number one will miss tomorrow night's return fixture with the Stars as well as the home meeting against Wolverhampton on July 11, but will be eligable to ride away at Birmingham and Belle Vue between the two home meetings. Can someone explain to me how Andersen gets a ban for the next 2 swindon home meets, yet is free to ride in the away meets, between these two.
