Chalkie
Perhaps he should bring those bikes over then. Ah, missed that, the old Janowski syndrome!
hagonshocker
Absolutly no use to us if he's scoring and riding well for his own gain .....it's what he does (or recently hasnt been) for us that matters!

stratton
Watched the Brum meeting twice now, and we were beaten by the far better team.Rosco to me well how he could criticise PK who took chances and Ash rode his balls off was baffling to me.He needs to have a look again at the meeting ,if i was a rider how would i ever be motivated by that sulky face move on Brum were the better team end of.! van wolfswinkel
The tiny minority of anti-Rosco whingers on here probably hardly ever go to Blunsdon. The bloke is probably the best manager Swindon have ever had, so back the promotion and the vast majority of the 1500 that attend The Abbey regularly do. Bunch of whining t@ssers.
hagonshocker
TBF Rosco looked a little down in the dumps before the meeting started...clearly he's as frustrated with the small amount of meetings weve had recently although i think Mr Pearson has gone a little over the top with commenting on his demeanour at Perry Barr on twitter and on Sky last night..at the end of the day he's only human and if he feels certain riders are letting us down then he is more than entitled to view his feelings....partially agree with Sidney about his criticism about PK being a little harsh although he does seem to be making lots of mistakes on track but he is clearly trying plus Birksy was in the thick of things unlike other certain riders..also agree with Bertie on the first point although i think your a little naive to suggest virtually everyone is 100% happy on the terraces but you will get that at EVERY track....were just a reserve (or keeping KG and hoping he comes back stronger) and a kick up the arse for Kennett and a clip round the ear for Nick short of storming into the playoffs

I'm a massive fan of Rosco's, he is the life and soul of the club and delivers great PR for Swindon both locally and nationally ! Doesn't mean he is above criticism though and he doesn't always gets things right (eg. last night) Things are not so great with the Robins at the moment, but I have no doubt he will do his best to sort things out. Keep on Rockin' Rosco ('funky' shirts n' all)..

Steve0
I have to say that the criticism directed at Rosco is justified. He is such a personality and has been great for the club but, as said above, he is not above criticism! During his first TV interview, he didnt look happy and just got worse during the meeting - his body language said he really didnt want to be there! If he's not on top form, how is he expected to get the best out of the riders? And to leave Gatherc0000le in heat 14 was shocking! His demeanour reminded me of 2007 vs Coventry when he criticised our Poles.

I like you 'yerropes like Rosco he loves the club which is why he was down in the dumps the other night.Hope Bertie does not think we are all moaners as i said the result does not matter that much to me a good track good racing i am happy .We don't know the ins/outs behind the scenes but lack of meetings has been frustrating for Rosco.Rosco to me his strength is when he is bubbly he can pass that onto the riders like you no one better than Rosco to move on and come back stronger off the subject is it me is Birksy improving rapidly? SteveLyric2
With the lack of fixtures, Rosco is probably having to spend even more long hours doing his 'day job' of truck driving!! So maybe he's just not getting enough sleep? What with all that worry and With a 4th addition to the family expected soon he won't be getting much more sleep either!! That bubbly personality needs lifting somehow as its probably also affecting young Nick who lives with Rosco, doesn't he?!

Have to agree that Rosco is perfect for bringing speedway to the media in Swindon and he is an excellent advertisement. Without him (as shown when he went to Coventry) it is definitely not the same. However, his behaviour at Birmingham in my opinion was downright childish. If he wants to be a really decent team manager (which undoubtedly he does) then he has got to show more consistency. , Sulking for various reasons unknown to us fans is just not on. Quite frankly he looked rather pathetic on TV. The Robins team have the talent to win this league, I stick by my prediction that they will. Come on Rosco, get behind the boys and see the job through.
Pinny
He was clearly frustrated at his so called league favs sides performance. Id rather that than a manager who doesnt give a toss!! Swindon were heading for the doldrums until he returned, their promoter hasnt a clue imo and if rosco left again it would be hard to see swindon a force in el speedway
65Sarge
In my opinion Rosco was down before the meeting started. He is the leader and catalyst the team draw from. The fact that he was somber and not his usual self I think rubbed off on the team and had a huge affect on the result. That said I have utmost respect from him and for what he generally brings to the table, I hope Wednesday was just a bad day at the office and not an indicator of hidden issues. He wears his heart on his sleeve which lifts the boys immensely when he's up, but can have a negative affect if he's not. He has made some apparent strange decisions this year with Heat 15 pairings and which reserves, but only he knows why he made those choices and it is easy to criticise in hindsight. Let's hope we see the old happy Rosco back next meeting and the boys respond with some speed and a big win! Rosco, I will criticise, but I will always support you because Swindon Robins are part of your make up and you bring so much to the club, I remember watching you trundle round the track as a nipper, you've come a long way and achieved great things, keep it going! One swallow doesn't make a Summer (that is these days two consecutive days Sunshine!).

I get a little irritated however to hear him say 'I am still learning'......but how come virtually ,all of us 'keyboard warriors' could see that it was sooooo obviously Birks and not Gathercole for heat 14? Was he trying the 'artisan' approach and backing Gathercole to produce a match/point winning ride? Sadly Cory, doesn't seem to have developed over the past 4 seasons as we would have liked and in my opinion he will remain a solid six pointer in the PL. Birksy is a different matter...I reckon he has something which deserves patience and nurturing.

Gresham78
Interesting to read people's comments about Rosco's mood at Birmingham. He's admitted himself the 'stop start' nature of the fixture list this season is effecting his enthusiasm and that during the Coventry meeting at the Abbey he felt 'flat' and had to to take time out at one stage to psyche himself up. Rosco's such an enthusiastic character that I guess its easy to forget that he's subject to getting p*#*ed off at times like the rest of us especially if things aren't going according to plan. As others have said he's the motivator and instigator of the atmosphere within the team and perhaps that was missing on Wednesday. Some riders more than others would miss that enthusiasm and encouragement more than others ( I'm thinking specifically of Ed Kennett) I'm right behind Rosco as he delivered a lot for the Robins last season and I'm sure he will keep the lads on course for the play-offs this season.
YerRopes
It's good to see rational views from most Swindon supporters, whilst most Poole fans worship blinkered and blindly at the 'Temple that is Ford & Middlo'...
