Swindon 2013

Recommended Posts

They have their own problems now with their own team - no time to stick their noses in Swindon's business now that Batch is confirmed in the Swindon lineup. They will pop up from time to time to have another pop though - of that there is no doubt

Rather excitable considering those were our first meetings of the season against a heavily fancied team which has already had plenty of track time. Plenty of time left in the qualifying competition. Swindon Panthers is our business or had you conveniently forgotten that nearly half of your team is courtesy of Rick Frost and Peterborough!

More silverware in the cupboard.....wot no vincentblackshadow, crumpie etc? :o

We could always compare club honours after your victory in the Elite League official version of the Hokey Cokey Cup (which we hold btw)?

As predicted - up he pops

I didn't realise that Swindon was your business having slagged them off all winter - glory hunter perhaps?

Anyone know who to talk to to get the website updated to show our Elite League win of last year and Elite Shield win of this year?

And out of that list of 20 rider "assets" - not one is currently riding for you - doesn't that tell you something?

I think you may want to look at that page again ... especially at the bottom  Edited by blupanther

Yes, it tells me the nearly 50% of your team is courtesy of Peterborough Speedway and more than 50% of our team are our own assets.

Nearly 50% of the Poole team is Ipswich assetts so what exactly is your pathetic point as speedway is & has always been big on loan deals.

The question was "I didn't realise that Swindon was your business" and I was just explaining why I might be interested.

As crazy robin said so eloquently - what is your point? There is no courtesy at all - loan fees are being paid as per the rules so there is no appreciation of Rick Frost in the equation! I get the feeling you want us to be grateful and beholding to your promotion - well that just ain't gonna happen!

When we win the league again - you gonna take credit for that? You had a chance to use them and didn't - that's as much glory as you are getting

Possibly Swindon may have been more grateful if Peterborough had agreed loan deals a little earlier!

Considering what allegedly happened 12 months earlier are you surprised that they didn't http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/speedway/frost-blasts-robins-for-illegal-approach-1-3313039

Can't argue with SteveO's post though and probably would have said the same if the roles had been reversed!

Why should we be grateful? We've taken riders off your hands who didn't want to ride for you and are paying you for their use. Its called business.

I don't post about how grateful I am to Sainsburys for allowing me to buy their groceries. Seriously, you Peterborough fans need to get a grip.

"You had a chance to use them and didn't" - that's not strictly true because prior to the AGM most Panthers fans, and probably management as well, had the spine of there team as - and here's a post in the local rag from blupanther: (4:28 PM on 03/11/2012) Andersen, Bjerre, Sundstrom, Jonasson, Kosciuch, Lawson, Bellago. Nice top 5 Gamgy but will probably not fit in the points limit. Fancy this team to do well, maybe a return for A.Dryml would be a good move."

Nothing against Peterborough (a few of my rellies live in the area at Yaxley), but they should be concentrating on their own problems of how to increase crowds there and win trophies, something they haven't done for a while. My cousin's son used to go, and said crowds have gone right down. Why dont riders want to turn out for them? must be some problem behind the scenes. A tiny minority on here just waffle on about the same thing. Sad gits...get a life...who gives a flying feck :lol:
