Crump99
So what exactly does this mean: SWINDON Robins believe the winter-long saga surrounding Troy Batchelor has come to an end after he was named in their side for 2013. The Elite League champions announced the Australian as part of their side on March 2 following the passing of the agreed Elite League signing deadline on March 1, which allows any unsigned riders to move on. However, there has been confusion as the move has yet to be ratified by the BSPA. ... From Swindon Advertiser this morning. It means that Warren has something to write about and it keeps Swindon in the news. They say that no news is bad news?
Adder
The full rticle actually reads as below. Not sure why the previous poster only chose to post half of it!! Robins believe Batch saga is over 6:00am Monday 11th March 2013 in Speedway By Andy Warren SWINDON Robins believe the winter-long saga surrounding Troy Batchelor has come to an end after he was named in their side for 2013. The Elite League champions announced the Australian as part of their side on March 2 following the passing of the agreed Elite League signing deadline on March 1, which allows any unsigned riders to move on loan. However, there has been confusion as the move has yet to be ratified by the BSPA. Parent club Peterborough have maintained throughout the winter they had been informed Batchelor was only available on a full transfer due to his unwillingness to return to the Showground, but Robins co-owner Gary Patchett says the management committee have now confirmed to him the rider will be allowed to return on loan. “It has been confirmed to us Troy Batchelor must be made available for loan from March 1, and we look forward to having our declaration ratified without any further delay,” he said. “We are happy this situation has now been resolved, and there will be no further comment from the club on this issue.” Meanwhile, Chris Harris has been confirmed for the Bob Kilby Memorial Meeting which opens the season at Blunsdon on Thursday. SteveLyric2
But is this just the 'regurgitated' Swindon view on things from several weeks ago or have the BSPA made a new decision and confirmed/announced it themselves?

stevebrum
It's just paving the way to the article about the other made up Elite League deadline that announced sides not ratified by the BSPA before April 1 become official anyway on April 2. Is that made up as well?
Crump99
Move on, who cares he is a Swindon rider now. Would love to but that's the whole point. He's only a Swindon rider for now http://www.peterboro....co/otherassets Its interesting that Hans and Gomolski are listed as 'on loan to Swindon in 2013'...but no mention of that against Troy. Does that indicate yet another twist in this saga i wonder, surely not.

No idea, Swindon are not commenting further on the issue allegedly and we can't expect a logical explanation from the BSPA MC, so all we know is that despite "his unwillingness to return to the Showground " it'll be same time next year with Australia's no1. keef robin
Looking forward to the trophy presentation up at Blunsdon on Thursday evo...excellent line-up for Kilbs, but no Steady is a disappointment, as it was his superb display at Poole that probably swung it the Robins way in the Final.

Great, are we going to talk about speedway, or perhaps revert back to the who what where why for's on whether Batch has signed, or whether it was ethical blah blah.......?
A ORLOV
Agree beefy, have got the arctic clothing out for the usual start of the season at Blunsdon, and ready for the season with the good team we have. Three good meetings before the EL action, Bob Kilby Memorial, Swindon v British Lions, then those pesky Pirates in the Elite Shield.
