Reliant Robin
Yes you were runners up! Can't remember you laughing about that, thought it was more like tears! You might find noggin was laughing, or at least a very broad smile - he's a Swindon fan
theblueboy
I cannot believe that the Swindon promotion would see Bomber as No 1 material. Up until this season he has been very good round The Abbey but as people have already pointed out his trapping is poor. I think a lot of his issues are down to confidence and a change of scenery is just what might be required to bring about improvement in him If he is to head this way I would suggest he is down to ride at 5 and either Hans is back or a new No 1 is on its way. kingbee
I can only imagine that Swindon will not wait again to see what assetts are being left out by their parent club as we got very lucky this season with both Hans & troy being left out by Peterborough when it looked like we were going to be in big trouble. Whilst the Miedzinski loan deal left a real sour taste as he was a Swindon assett are we really that certain & going to run the risk of riders saying they want to ride for Swindon rather than their parent club. Rory is a Belle Vue assett & can't see him riding elsewhere if they run so surely a move for Troy or Hans will have to be looked at. Nick needs to be an assett & then the team built around him & Peter. Rumours are very strong that Chris Harris is Swindon bound though. heard that Belle Vue never paid for Rory in full so he would revert back to cov

Orbiter
Hans doesn't care where he rides he blows off any team he rides for remember when it was Poole and he loved it he only loves the person that pays his wage nice bloke or not bloody nice bloke. A bit rich from someone who has an Eddie Kennett signature...or does cheating not count?

JonHWeiner
I thought Bomber gated really well from gate 4 in a couple of races in the ELRC this year. I hope he stays at Brandon though, if only because my 7-year old granddaughter adores him :-)
theblueboy
What has Eddie Kennett got to do with Hans Anderssen jog on. I see....you can say something that is disparaging about another rider but someone who cheated the public, his team mates and the opposition...that's ok?Perhaps it's you who should jog on? Best not to stand in a glass house throwing stones?

BuzzCagney
am i missing something here swindon have nothing to swap I think most of us realise that Hans, unfortunately, isn't a Swindon asset. The point remains the same- rumours have it, apparently, that Harris is coming to Swindon and Hans going to Brandon. The thought of it makes my heart sink I have to say. For a starter Hans speaks better English. Edited November 5, 2012 by BuzzCagney

stratton
I like Harris, and if he came to Swindon, he would do well maybe i am wrong but i didn't always think Hans was great away.At home he was outstanding a great captain, Harris i have watched since Trelawney and have always enjoyed watching him ride if he could get his equipment sorted he will be fine. The good thing for me is the riders that are banded about i like all of them Hans, Rory,Bomber, (Batch i certainly want back as he will push on) so in a way who ever is chosen it wouldn't bother me either way.Cook though could be another worth a thought on a low average has bags of potential. EnglishRoundabout
Really can't understand that Red Robin. Harris is a fantastic racer who would be 100% for the club. Great potential to improve at Blunsdon, English, totally committed and would provide great entertainment both home and away. Without his GP commitments i reckon he has the ability to reach an 8 .5 to 9 point average. Don't get me wrong, Hans was brilliant for us this year, but he is around 36 years old and probably seen his best days now. Bomber on the other hand is reaching his peak. He just needs to get some gating lessons from Zengi!!
Red Robin
Totally disagree ER. Bomber has gone downhill for the last 2 years, at Belle Vue , Coventry this year and the G.P.s. Can't even win the British Championship. Think if we signed him, we would have a 2011 situation on our hands. In fact someone on the Poole 2013 thread (post 394) on here has said he is way behind when everyone else is at the first corner. Even Coventry fans have been complaining about him this year. I don't share your enthusiasm. Edited November 5, 2012 by Red Robin
orion
Thou i have my doubts about Harris thre are some plus factors ...No Gp's, a track he can race on and also the mighty Rosco to help out . Harris has had massive downs in his speedway life but a move away from Cov might just give him the spark he needs to be decent if not great .
