Mimmo
Is there anybody that would kindly be prepared to either post the heat details from this meeting that was staged on Saturday 15th September, or alternatively confirm how many rides each rider took from both sides. Thanks in anticipation Mike
vog
For Stoke, everyone took their scheduled 3 rides. For LE, I think everyone took 4 rides. I remember them running R/R and there were no races with only 3 riders. Apologies I can't be more of a help!
SarahLapworth
STOKE Spitfires got back to winning ways with a 20-16 victory over the Long Eaton Invaders in the Midland Development League on Saturday night. The Spitfires got off to a flying start with a maximum 5-1 in the opening heat from skipper Shaun Tedham and Martin Wrathall over Lee Springthorpe. The Invaders pulled back to within two points in heat two as rider/team manager Lee Geary gained the first of his four victories on his way to a twelve point maximum as he got the better of Andy Mellish to give the Invaders a 4-2 heat advantage with the Spitfires leading 7-5. Stoke extended their lead in heat four as Wrathall and Mellish combined for a maximum 5-1 heat win over Springthorpe and Trevor Bebbington to give the Spitfires a 15-9 lead after four heats. Geary took victory in heat five but as Tedham and Wrathall packed the minor placings it mean't the Spitfires took victory with a heat to spare. Geary completed his maximum in the final heat as the Invaders gained a 4-2 as Springthorpe took third Mellish spliting the Invaders pairing but it was the Spitfires that took the victory 20-16. Stoke 20: Shaun Tedham 7, Martin Wrathall 6+1, Andy Mellish 6+1, Sean Phillips 1+1 Long Eaton 16: Lee Geary 12, Lee Springthorpe 4, Trevor Bebbington
Mimmo
Thanks to both Vog and Sarah for posting what you have, and whilst it helps, it doesn't fully satisfy my wish. There must be someone that knows exactly how many rides each rider took, otherwise Sarah wouldn't have been able give the excellent report that she has. HELP PLEASE!!! The report was taken from the Stoke website. Every Stoke rider took 3. Lee Geary took 4, and I am 99% sure the other 2 Invaders took 4 each. No-one took 5, and no race had 3 riders. greyhoundp
Vog, i read in last weeks Halesowen News a Rider the name of Jones, has signed for Stoke for next season, background of either Motocross or Grasstrack, naturally of interest to us, as he is from the Dudley area, would this be for the MDL Team ?. Emerson Jones I presume you mean. I have no idea how we plan to use him. All I know is that we apparently beat a few teams to his signature, and they believe he has the potential to contribute next season.
