spin king
Id probably say not to Paul Starke, nothing against Paul, but I don think he is what we are looking for and probably wouldnt be consistent in PL, would be a case of "same meat different gravy" in my opinion. Sedgemen or Poole for me please, would either of those fit? If i had my way = Rocco Scopollite. Sedgemen is far too inconsistent, and is holed up in OZ. Poole would be a maybe, but he too is holed up in Oz. Rocco Scopellite is injured broken shoulder and broken arm in two places .
OdsalBoy
Ahh ok, sorry i didnt know that about Rocco, wish him all the best. I was talking with Steve at SJP and we agreed that its likely that changes will be made soon. But who seriously is available. If i could make the changes myself i would change (and it pains me to say this) Damien Koppe and Joe Haines.

If we wait for the riders on assessed averages (Albin, Knight and Koppe), to get a proper average we could have some serious points to play around with. For instance if we were to let either Knight or Koppe go we would probably be left with around between 7 and 7.5 points for a replacement. Stick that rider at number 3 . Move Joe Haines to number 2 which would more suited to Joe than the number 3 slot. And then move Albin to reserve. A simple change and the team has a completely different look about it.
Charlieboy
We need something sooner rather than later or our season will be over, but we dont want to go down the same old route of sanchez, ben wilson . benji.etc etc etc.If we make changes lets et somebody decent and proven. OdsalBoy
id love to get someone in on a 7, as spin king rightly says it will totally change the dynamic of the team, its OK carrying one rider but at the mo its worse than that. Albin at reserve would be a force. I know though that Neil doesnt like bringing new riders in once the season is underway, but we shall see as it needs to be done. Swap Jake for Benji -yes please. Matt Tressarieu a possibility ?

Like I say to do that we have to wait for the assessed riders to get proper averages to make an impact rider signing. If we make changes before then we would have to bring in a rider like the one that you mention. A lot will depend also what the Promotion can afford, but if they wait and bring in a 7 pointer rider in I thin you will see some different results, and the beauty of the play off's means that you can afford to have a bit of a blip. Charlieboy
Is it still 6 home 6 away criteria ? If it is that then that doesnt leave too many meetings to make play offs, and if we keep getting hammered we will have a massive points difference !!!!!! Somehow we need to change team so fac is at reserve.Another worry is other riders getting injured at other clubs so the quality we want could be restricted.Other clubs will have picked the better riders up.We will have to see but im not optimistic. byusarkis84
What average would hefenbrock have? Thanks
Boobs
Assessed riders get a true average after 4 home, 4 away official fixtures. While never sure if League Cup/Premier Trophy matches are considered official, it seems likely the three Tigers will be reassessed in the near future. Their new averageswill kick in 7 days after the final home or away meeting in the qualification process, they don't wait until the next month's general issue of new figures. Tigerite
Just had a look at the Tigers website and updated rolling averages are on there, they only include Premier League meetings and not PL Cup meetings so according to rule 17.6.2 and 17.4.4 of the SCB Regs we cannot replace the 5point assessed guys until 4 home and 4 away PL meetings even if we wanted to. So assuming we have no rain offs, we won't be able to change the 5 point assessed riders until after the Berwick home meeting on June 8th, when we will have completed 4 home and 4 away in the Premier League. Attached link with current averages are below, not good reading to say the least with current team total average of 33.66 http://www.sheffieldspeedway.co/statistics13 Edited May 8, 2013 by Tigerite
jenga
wow. not great reading.but you have 3 riders on sub 3.00 averages. 3.00 is the least you can have with team building in mind. so it looks like sheffield have even less points to play with. i am sure something will turn up and your season will turn for the better. graz gp
We need things to change. The fans won't stand for a season like last year. The terraces will be empty. I fear for the results this weekend at Somerset and Rye House.
psycho3a
If sheffields 4 reserves dont get 15 points between them its going to be two more humiliating scores... Stead and Wells will get about 27 points hopefully but that means the 4 reserves have to really back them up with at least 13 to 20 to keep the scoreline close... Will this happen are they capable ??????? I hope im wrong but could make the KOC return leg a none event with some empty terraces !

psycho3a
Well it now looks like everyone's fears are coming to haunt us.. The bottom 4 have consistently failed to beat opposition riders in the 4 premier league matches so far : Redcar away - 3 times from 18 rides.. Redcar home 5 times 19 rides.. Workington home 8 from 16 .. Berwick away 4 from 16 .. Our season is already starting to spiral out of control and if changes are not made soon it will be too late Another meeting and our 4 reserves had 18 races and beat the opposition twice !! Wtf we raced a premier league 4 man team and still got annialiated.. We will get lucky and go through but we will now have hoggy continuing to say how well we are doing.. Fed up and bored of promotion glossing over this shambles ..

OILYRAG
Well Mr Elephant man , Lulu and all the others on my case during the close season .............. was it a case of me having an "agenda" or just the fact I was right about this rag tag excuse for a speedway team ? Hang your heads Machin and Hoggy for putting that tripe in front of us on a Thursday evenings ! Edited May 12, 2013 by OILYRAG
