alan 1991
Haven't we been here before? Nedermark is based on the continent so would cost more due to flights, machinery etc. If 7.99 is the amount why not go for someone with or near that average if they're going to have to pay the money? Wells will come, he's a bit short on what's available to him as well as the money on offer! So a flight from darlington to sheffield isnt as expensive as first thought
Steve55
Thanks for that, thought I had read it somewhere. My apologies, didn't realise he only rode in Britain last year!
tigerowl
How Ricky Wells can demand increased money after some of the tripe he served up last year is beyond me. It is also beyond me how the management have offered him any more than a conker and a blackbird's egg to ride for us. Turning up in his Wolves kevlars and trailing round last on the wrong end of a 5-1 after scoring double figures for the Wolves made my blood boil at times last year. Get rid and get someone in that wants to ride for the Tigers rather than someone who's loyalties were often elsewhere.
Jake Bower
Claus Vissing is the best and closest rider we can get to 7.99. He is a 7.49 average and he is a fantastic, exciting rider. Don't care what anyone says, yes he may be a liability, but he is passionate about riding a speedway bike. I feel that everyone would love to see he down at Owlerton and himself, Steady and Hall would be a top trio in the premier league!

He hasn't demanded more money he said that he would take the same deal as last year but the club have offered him a lot less.
bamber
Nedermark was flying in and out of Stanstead normally monday a.m. i would imagine sheffield is easier for airports..most premier league teams run thursdays through to sundays so i think the flights would be less...he would be in the uk more than denmark dont know if he has signed for a danish/swedish team for 2013....definitley think he is worth a try...good gater and when he is out front is a hard guy to catch.... Tsunami
My apologies, didn't realise he only rode in Britain last year! Claes also rode in the Danish League, but that is a much reduced league in terms of meetings.
Friddy75
The press release about Wells said he was happy with the same deal as last year which going by Sheffield was in my opinion probably not a lot. He is not asking for more money. It said he had been asked to take a pay cut on last seasons deal. If your a Wells fan or not I would suggest he is the best option for the last spot. I really can't see Nedermark or North for that matter signing for the deal that Wells is being offered, whatever it is. I think if Wells declines we could be looking at another cheap option. Would the anti Wells fans rather have Schramm or Sanchez?
squall
Simple solution. Wells accepts the pay cut, riders for us like he did for Wolves in 2012, earns more than he did in 2012.
spin king
My guess is that Wells will sign sometime next week.

tigerowl
I'm not a 'Wells hater'. It's just that I pay my hard earned cash at the turnstiles and the least I expect in return is 100% effort from the members of the team I support. I know they are not world beaters and I know they won't win every week, but if I go home knowing that the riders have put the effort in there will be no complaints from me. Ricky Wells proved at times that he is a talented rider but he didn't appear all that bothered about being a Sheffield rider. He scored more points and had a higher average than Chris Schramm but there seemed to be a world of difference in attitude and application. This is what bothers me. As a result, Ricky Wells would be the last name on my line up if I was building the team, especially as he is doubling up with his beloved Wolves again this year. I would rather see a rider who wants to ride for the club as a priority, not an afterthought. I have been watching the Tigers since 1974 and can count on one hand the riders who didn't look interested and I don't want to pay my money to watch them go through the motions. Rant over, Sorry
Hel'n'Back
Surely Ricky can't double up if he hasn't got a premier league place? If this is the case, what will happen with his Wolverhampton deal?
Dcb7
After reading all the above comments , why don't we all chip in and buy Ricky Wells' equipment and gift it to Chris Shramm! Problem for the final place solved..
bamber
He will ride for wolves and not do premier league..i think he is being influenced by an outsider.there are plenty of riders available how long do you give him to make his mind up ?? if he was an out and out no.1 who you could rely on to get you 12/13/14 pts. every week then that would be different.. Hel'n'Back
Good luck to him then! Don't know about him being influenced by an outsider but how will he have less rides and make more money?
rickster
He should stop moaning and be happy with the chance to double up! Something a lot of our own riders don't get
