montie
. It is the lower paid workers/manual workers that are suffering because of Cameron and his mate . Funny,i thought they were suffering before hand also!!! If Wells lost money at Sheff last year then many many other riders did the same Its put to him to rack up the points for his club and make a few quid for himself---its not Sheffield speedways fault he lost money
Jake Bower
So, Dakota North? Come on Hoggy let's do this! He would be a wonder at Owlerton. Team would be: 1. Stead 2. Haines 3. North 4. Koppe 5. Wells (heat 13 advantage big time with Stead with him) 6. Albin 7. Knight Best team avaliable. I have my fingers crossed!
luluthetiger
If -- if -- Tigers are getting Dakota North, won't he be in place of Ricky Wells, not Richard Hall?
tigerowl
Perhaps if he had put more effort in after missing the gate he might have earned a bit more.
Adrian Brownell
it seems to look like we are stuck with hally so if north comes it will be for ricky wells and i dont think he would be as good as wells away from sheffield but may be better athome seem to remember north doing very well sheffield at times
skipseasaint
Dakota North instead of Hally. Don't know why everyone is so keen to get rid of Hally. I know his away performances can be a bit ropey, but I watch speedway predominantly at Owlerton and I go to be entertained. Of all the riders who've turned out in yellow and blue since Josh left, Hally is the one who can be relied on to produce the magic moment with a dart round the boards. It looks as though we're keeping him and I for one welcome that.
Cue Ball
The conversation on twitter between Wells and Haines suggests that the former is not going to be announced as our next signing anytime soon.

spin king
If We have signed Dakota North I would prefer North/ Wells But if we have I think it will be more likely be. North/ Hall.
tigerowl
I would prefer Thierry Hilaire to Wells. At least he put the effort in.

Fromafar
I find it hard to believe that Wells lost money riding for Sheffield he probabably meant he spent most of it subsidising his equipment to ride in Elite League which would be a different issue IMO.
spin king
Looks like Richard Hall will be the next Sheffield signing. http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/speedway/sheffield-tigers-simon-can-stead-y-ship-1-5291807
Halifordukesfan
Re the report in todays Sheffield Star, what a roundabout way of announcing Richard Hall is signed ! Time to forget Wells & sign Dakota North, much more potential for points & excitement, & same starting average.
RS50
Now on Sheffield Speedway website, Hall has signed for 2013. Says he is delighted with deal. Would it be so different to the deal on offer to Wells?
DAVEK
Now on Sheffield Speedway website, Hall has signed for 2013. Says he is delighted with deal. Would it be so different to the deal on offer to Wells? Probably not... The more I think about the last place, the more I would like to see someone like Dak North to fill it. Steady home average and decent away average last year.

I suspect it is Sheffield or P'boro, it cant be both as all P'boro riders will be full time elite this year.

Looking at his twitter accounts he has said that he has sorted his riding for Europe, and that is all it says. In saying that I have a feeling that he will go full time Elite next season. He has already announced his Polish club. Very similar to the Twitter message. I think it is hard to try and read through the lines of what he is saying because he says Europe rather than Britain. Could it be he waiting to announce signing for a team in another country. I don't know, but I just don't see Dakota North riding at Sheffield, next season. .
