spin king junior
Does anyone know if we're lining up as they announced last night? I know there's a possibility of Koppe & albin swapping, but didnt hear anything about the others. For anyone who wasn't there the line up was announced as- 1. Stead 2. Albin 3. Haines 4. Hall 5. Wells 6. Koppe 7. Knight Edited March 22, 2013 by skj

screm
been to press and practise team looked ok albin looked quick when riding with steady bit worrid about koppe does not look like a sheffield rider . also richard hall spent most of time riding his long track bike is this a sign that will be his priority Just what does a Sheffield rider look like.
Adrian Brownell
Just what does a Sheffield rider look like. you ride sheffield by been smouth not by having bike locked up half way round corner and having to set off again losing all your speed
Roger Jacobs
you ride sheffield by been smouth not by having bike locked up half way round corner and having to set off again losing all your speed Compared to most British tracks, Owlerton is pretty much one big corner . Also, this shows how much the Aussie tracks have changed in recent years - with the big, pacey showground-style circuits disappearing, even the Aussies are more used to tighter turns. yorkshiretyke
A very cold p&p last night never been so cold. Think Steady will take some beating round Owlerton this season, very smooth and fast he's going to be great to watch this season. Easily the quickest rider on show. Very impressed with Albin, took him a couple of laps to bed in but once he did looked fast and stylish. Not scared to attack the track, think he could be very entertaining. Haines looked good, getting faster all the time as was Wells and Hall although the latter seemed more interested with his longtrack bike?? Thought Knight looked good too, wasnt expecting him to attack the track like he did, looks like he is worth a try. Not sure about koppe, he looked uncomfortuble with the track seemed like his style doesn't suit the track but early days. I agree what has been said before, Albin to ride at reserve and Koppe at 2 so he can bed in although we will tell more once the action starts. Need to hit the ground running this season.

Said all along Sheffield fans were worrying over nothing ,Albin will become a very good rider and entertainer huge mistake by Berwick letting him go he was desperate to ride for us but hey ho Sheffields gain is our loss i hope the lad has a cracking season.. Sorry but I completely disagree,I think the Berwick team is stronger without Albin, just out of interest which one of the Berwick 1-7 would you drop. I wish Albin all the best at Sheffield, but Im pleased he`s there and not with us.

I am sure he will sort the fastest way around Sheffield and will thrill as he goes along. Last night was the first try out of a new bike and engine. Due to the recent inclement weather testing and practice has been in short supply. So last night was more set up than technique.

Iam really not sure about Weathers if im honest he could go either way, its not so much how strong the team is but more of becoming a valuble assett and an entertainer, lets not forget Weathers atained his low average with Armadale as his home track, i really hope Matty has a cracking season, but i think we have missed the chance to grab a good assett. i spent to long last year watching another teams assett knock 2 points off his average.. Facundo really looked good and when he went round with Steady he looked well on the pace, infact it was a bit scary at times as they got quite close on a couple of occasions. Our little gang of observers all think he should start at reserve. He'll not be there for long though! Thanks Berwick Bandits!
The Third Man
Also, the weaker reserve should always be at 6. This doesnt matter IF you have a team manager that swaps things around, easy to play horses for courses with the reserves in a meeting Edited March 23, 2013 by The Third Man

Agree about Wethers,he is Berwicks key rider in many ways, however his scores round Shielfield in his time with Edinburgh are heatleader scores to that has to be a positive. kitten2502
Can someone please order some drier and slightly warmer weather for Thursday? I'm hoping to make the trip up from Brum - always enjoyed our PL visits to Owlerton, so hoping to see some good racing there again!
