active
I hope Schammy does well for Plymouth he was great for Sheffield last year he put in so much effort and I wish he was back again ,just a shame about his bikes if he had good gear he would be great. Shadders
we have signed schrammy at plymouth just wandering what the sheffield fans think, good signing or not? Decent reserve/second string, but with awful machinery. I've been told there's been some investment though. Perhaps Machin should have gone out on a limb, signed lots of fancy riders on money he couldn't afford and then threaten to shut up a few weeks before the season unless somebody gave him some money to carry on. Or maybe not. Meeeeeow!!!
spin king
The one thing you could never fault Schrammy was effort, he is the type of rider who can look you in face and tell you honestly that he has done the best he can. But the machinery let him down badly last season, and I would say some investment is not enough he would need a massive investment.

spin king
Odsal boy, do you always have to spout such bobbins? Well if he is the know we should be expecting Ricky Wells to sign for Sheffield. After all he did say if Ricky did not sign then the Chris Schramm would be the rider that would be signed. Arson fire
Odsal boy, do you always have to spout such bobbins? its just another alias for the cretin that crops up every pre season, says he has a learning disability or his son has hacked his account
greyhoundp
Only read bits and pieces of this Topic over the weeks, and it sems Machin is programing his Team to a budget, whoever he signs as the last rider, there is only one place Sheffield are going to finish this season, and they will need strong shoulders, I think its about time either Machin got a partner in, or for the future of Sheffield speedway sold up. AndyK86
Ricky Wells given until end of week to decide otherwise we have two riders banging the speedway office door down to join.
Cue Ball
Have we got names for the desparate duo? I suppose pepe could be an option.... a decent 2nd / 3rd heat leader.
The Third Man
Ricky Wells given until end of week to decide otherwise we have two riders banging the speedway office door down to join. we always have riders knocking the door down to ride for sheffield, trouble is its a very strong door and they never get through it
Halifordukesfan
Worry is, if Wells does sign on a deal he's not entirely happy with, he may not give 100% on the track.
Charlieboy
Are we going to drag it on for another week or will it be announced in the star tomorrow ?

StevePark
Worry is, if Wells does sign on a deal he's not entirely happy with, he may not give 100% on the track. The simple answer to that is, IF he's not entirely happy with the deal, is not to sign in the first place?
flyerwyer
It seems that the Tigers fortunes have been going downhill since the loss of the training track. Not only did it provide us with a stream of young talent that end up in the team via the Prowlers but often they were local lads that generated local interest and would have probably cost next to nothing in terms of contracts. We now have to take risks on the likes of Albin, Koppe and Knight whereas before we had a list of lads too long to name come through the ranks. I miss the training track and I miss the Prowlers. spin king
The report in the local paper has not said when Ricky Wells has too make his mind up. There are implication for Wolves if Wells does not sign for Sheffield, so maybe Wolves may be tempted to give Wells an incentive to sign for Sheffield say some sort of cash incentive. My view is that Wells will be back at Sheffield by the couple of days, my guess Thursday there will be an announcement Wells or no Wells. Adrian Brownell
i hope something happens this week because we are starting to look a laughing stock to all of the speedway world with what is going on
