ragdoll64
My strength in depth team for next year based on present averages and the 42.5 limit remaining. No out and out No.1 but with four / five riders on the up and three / two stalwarts (depending on choice of No.3), I think it would be a progressive team. James Grieves Henning Bager Theo Pijper / Adam Roynon Anders Mellgren Ricky Wells Mason Campton Mickey Dyer

screm
I am sure it was deemed to illegal, under European laws. Im sure youre right right, though I seem to remember one or two riders qualified for a reduction, why I wouldnt know, some rules that govern our sport arent worth the paper they are written on,and some others are ignored anyway. Tsunami
I am sure that the 2.5% reduction for British riders was dropped last season. It was, but the other rule allowing a reduction for a rider have spent time in the NL, was never really explained and I think only applied to Robert Mear at Lakeside. markw40
Again as the previous guys have said, I just hope we run first and foremost. If we do then i think we need to take the chance to have a brand new start and near enough have a complete change of the 7 we have. I think apart from in the odd case you require a number 1 on the way up rather on the way down. Unfortuately Workington find their self in a similar position. Hopefully they run next season too but cos cutting may need to happen. Riders like Bach or Lawson may become available and for me either would make an ideal number 1 for us. James should always be welcome at Glasgow speedway and if he wants a place 1 should be given but not sure whathis plans are Mason seems unhappy here and I cant really blame him but I would hope he would think about repaying the club who brought him over with 1 more season. Josh has been a good servant but as been said previous it is essential for him that he moves on. In my opinion he needs to go to a bigger track though. Henning has been a shining light for us in the later half of the year and when I have seen him home and away he has gave everything he has. Team I would like to see 1.Lawson 2.Bellego 3.Wells 4.Bager 5.Vissing 6.Campton 7.Dyer
Gazc
Glasgow will survive im sure. You need to offload assets like Morris and Josh to raise some decent cash. Potential new owners wishing to address fans at the Marriott Hotel on the 6th October should the purchase proceed. Seems that they wish to let the Fan's know on there plans for the future off the club positive news at least , albeit the sale has not went through as yet

Gazc
Potential new owners wishing to address fans at the Marriott Hotel on the 6th October should the purchase proceed. Seems that they wish to let the Fan's know on there plans for the future off the club positive news at least , albeit the sale has not went through as yet “We want to make you aware that the club will stage a critical meeting of supporters at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel (Queen Mary Suite) this coming Saturday, 6th October, with arrival 4:30pm for 5:00pm. We need EVERY supporter to show their backing for the very future of Glasgow Speedway and turn out in force to demonstrate their passion and support for the Tigers. If the club is to have a future in 2013 and beyond, it is of paramount importance that ALL supporters – current, occasional and past – turn out on Saturday as the attendance on the night will be used as a barometer for collective appetite for speedway to continue in the City. This really is the occasion where your support is vital. All supporters in attendance will be addressed by the promotion, with regards the future of the club. Come and enjoy watching the decisive GP from Torun which will be shown ‘live’ on a big screen. Admission is FREE, with food and drink available for purchase on the night. The future of Glasgow Tigers is in your hands, see you there” The above taken from the Official site now i may be slightly critical here but surely the potential new owner's will know how the club is performing financially via the company accounts instead off how many fans turn up next week to act as a barometer if it is viable . I know off some Glasgow fan's quite a few in-fact who are travelling to the final GP next week in Poland we have been given just over a week's notice in respect to the above and they intend to use the attendance next week as a gauge to assume the viability of Glasgow Speedway not well thought out in my opinion . Fan's being taken for granted once again in my opinion

Fan's being taken for granted once again in my opinion An alternative view Gazc. I think we risk over analysing the statement released today. Let’s be honest, it hasn’t been a great season for Glasgow on track, and certainly not so off track. Things have been a bit too strained and tense for too long, and any level of goodwill amongst supporters has clearly dipped. In fact, it’s all generally gone pretty flat and perhaps reached an all-time low as regards supporter morale. Any new owners will have to galvanise and re-energise the Glasgow support against the backdrop I’ve suggested above. I’m quite sure that you are correct in that a prospective new owner will know what they’re getting themselves in to, however that doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t want the benefit and encouragement in knowing that they have a certain level of keenness and optimism upon which to build from. Negativity has crept into every aspect of the Ashfield operation, I for one would like to see this trend arrested and allow everyone to soon, hopefully, be able to focus on 2013 – fingers crossed this is the message we will receive on Saturday night. I don’t see that anyone is being taken for granted given that the current promotion, and prospective owners (?), appear to wish to update Tigers fans in person, exactly what most fans have wanted to hear for an awful long time now. If fans hadn’t been consulted, or were left to try and understand matters from some words in Speedway Star, then I’d be more agreeable that we were being taken for granted. Surely it’s not too big an ask for a healthy number of fans who can do so, to turn up and offer their support for the club they love? (it’s unfortunate that some fans will be unable to attend for a variety of reasons, that would always be the case no matter what date was selected) What we don’t know is quite why there is just a week’s notice, but we need to go with it and go along where we can. We’re all desperate for news, hopefully positive news at that, and the prospect of enjoying the GP amongst speedway fans will be a bit different too. What’s there to lose? SCOTLAND1314
Here here GG. Edinburgh asked for a similar fan response on the back of a financially poor 2010 season. They asked the fans to turn out on a wet and windy mid week night in Livingston to show support for the club and thankfully enough of us turned up to encourage the promotion to keep going. If no one turns up on Saturday I guess the new promotion have a difficult choice to make.
