montyrose
Travis McGowan incredibly had visa problems last year , don't see how a year away from British speedway would see that situation changed . be good to see travis back
lionking
Seems like Glasgow have a fair few points to play with . I was delighted that the club was saved now i really hope the new owners get a good side together because i enjoy my trips to Glasgow to support the lions. If your looking for a good reserve then i would pick someone like Jari Makinen over Charles Wright everyday thoughts anyone ? Jari was solid rider for us when at reserve he scored ok but really struggled when he had to step up into the team.
Steelman 77
With Joe, James and Henning already returning, if we're now chatting about James McBain (I approve) and Charles (hmmm) also coming back, isn't this a case of a danger of the "newco" just repeating the status quo each Sunday? Where is the new "young and exciting team" we were promised? Sadly, it seems more and more evident that the "new promotion" aren't necessarily the ones doing the thinking! That's an interesting statement. Who do you think is doing the thinking then?
wandersome
... and James Grieves. Harley Horwood deal awaiting paperwork clearance. I thought Harley Horwood looked really good at Leicester when he rode after the Edinburgh meeting last season. He was riding around with Damien Koppe and I thought he actually looked the better prospect.
Rider Replacement
Yeah these Aussie kids are good, but I'm sorry we have home grown talent sitting around not able to get a team place or the valued experience to gain any advantage, shocking really. But hey someone somewhere obviously has a say within British speedway as to why the Aussies get the nod? I'm afraid it'll never happen again that we see the likes of a up and coming Screen, Loram, Louis, Rico RIP, Dugard sad state of affairs really. Hey Ho, onwards and upwards. Backless
Because the British Kids that can't get a team place can't be arsed to drive to Glasgow (or Edinburgh or Berwick as applicable)? Could that be it? Even at the sport's height there's always been a stream of Aussies & New Zealanders to the northernmost clubs. Saw him at Berwick looked OK in after meeting spin but on a 5pt average will struggle IMO.The ypoung Aussie who have impressed me were Max Fricke and Ryan Douglas, even for them to achieve 5pt av in first season would be a challenge. freddyfivetoes
The young Aussie who have impressed me were Max Fricke and Ryan Douglas, even for them to achieve 5pt av in first season would be a challenge. Max Fricke seemed at one time likely to be Ashfield-bound. Circumstances (Sunday, not Friday, and some administrative changes) would suggest this less likely now

Yeah I agree too, upsets me that after following speedway for 42 years, the state of British speedway is at its lowest ebb since I can remember. We have no championship fighters. Paulco
I think we can nip this in the bud before it kicks off another Tigers/Monarchs slanging match . Nobody knows who objected , lets face it Friday nights under floodlights was always going to be extremely unlikely next season in any case . We have to apply again at next winter's conference , we'll see what happens then .
