george.m
a signing just to excite the die hards that turn up week in week out wouldn't go amiss. I wonder what average attendances were during and after the Messiah's time. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a drop, though other factors cannot be discounted. He left a vacuum that's yet to be filled.
Rider Replacement
I wouldn't disagree with that . We gave O'Malley weeks longer than he deserved last season and it was only when James came out and won heat 2 , while guesting for Rye House , that it became clear that the lad was worthy of a chance . With decent equipment underneath him i think the lad could cope with PL racing . I agree re James, and I feel James needs track time and decent equipment to progress. You can have the fastest engine but if you cannot ride it, its pointless. Would be good to have a home grown talent instead of a unknown. One thing in James' favour he's keen. JakeDaniels
Think last season proved James McBain does have the talent, unsure whether it would be the best to put him in the team from the off, think he needs national league because now he knows the PL is a possibility he may put more focus on his racing and I think would be a good rider for someone like Stoke in the NL. I believe the chances of us having a 3 pointer in the team may be high, that 3 pointer may not get a lot of time to start scoring if James is sniffing about. If someone like Grievesy could take him under his wing a little that would bring him on more too.
luluthetiger
James surely deserves a proper chance in the 1-7.
mac101
why try another 3 pointer when we have a local boy who will cost nothing on travel and beat 99% of reserves around ashfield and will get better with more racing you can tell he has the talent when he can jump on a second halfers bike for a pl match and score 4+3 from 5 rides on someones else bike mind you it did have James grieves,s engine from last year in it . James and Charles at reserve would do for me but would rather have our aussie start at reserve Edited November 26, 2012 by mac101
Rider Replacement
Deffo think Charles Wright should be in the team, always committed 100% trier and I say I do like the way the team is shaping up, is Henning a confirmed starter? Monarchs5-1
James McBain is always on pace and always l Surely this isnt the same James McBain that was in the Tigers team towards the end of 2012 season?

msc1874
Surely this isnt the same James McBain that was in the Tigers team towards the end of 2012 season? Yeah. What's your point? I am saying the lad is always on pace. Maybe doesn't always get the points, but he us competitive. That's my point. I don't know what yours was. I am a monarchs fan, but I like to see young guys get a go. I am not saying the lad will ever be a heat leader but he could be a cog in the machine for a team long term do a job consistently over a season.
JakeDaniels
Given the current financial climate what are the chances of getting Charles & James Wright and having them van share? would leave us 4.25 for the final place, Nicki Barrett seems popular (3.75), or Max Dilger (4.21) Either that or Travis McGowan has fallen off the radar, alongside Charles Wright would leave us 3.49 for final place
luluthetiger
With Joe, James and Henning already returning, if we're now chatting about James McBain (I approve) and Charles (hmmm) also coming back, isn't this a case of a danger of the "newco" just repeating the status quo each Sunday? Where is the new "young and exciting team" we were promised? I hope this isn't a reflection on the new promotion's way of thinking. Sadly, it seems more and more evident that the "new promotion" aren't necessarily the ones doing the thinking!
Rider Replacement
Ok, so we have 3 confirmed starters, albeit I've not actually seen or heard that Hennings coming back? But there are 4 other riders spots to fill. We are just surmising on the remaining spots, come on get behind the guys and gals who I'm sure are working tirelessly to make Glasgow Tigers not only a force to be reckoned with, but a team, stadium, and set up to be proud of!
