Recommended Posts

I just had Ian Rae on the phone asking me to put a posting on here to ask if anyone has any facilities garage workshop etc with electric for the coming season for two of the Berwick riders or even two people with enough space for 1 rider each, also looking for a mechanic to help out Nikki Barret in the pits , let me know and i can put you in touch with Ian.. Thanks.

Is it not a bit late in the day looking for a workshop and mechanic? Surely all this should of been sorted during the winter not 2 weeks before the season starts?

Fair point emilali...

The team was signed months ago.. Any disruption may affect our assault on the title

On a brighter note i am very glad to see Scott posting and showing his never-ending support and friendship to other fans of our club. It promises to be another great season with most of the action happening on the forum boards..

Cheers

Nice helpful post.

What was the point of it?

Simple really, they have known the riders that would be here this season for months, and about 2 weeks prior to the season starting there asking for workshops and mechanics, poor preperation in my opinion. Still, wouldnt expect you to agree.

I still don't see what your point is?

Hang on, maybe you are trying to say you could run things better?

And for all we know, it was sorted in ample time only for circumstances to have changed recently.

Of course, that wouldn't be the club's fault, so wouldn't provide a moan.

I didnt really see what your point was on saturday on the Ben Fund thread when you described Berwick as one of the finest speedway tracks in the world? I notice you later edited your post, probably after people had been to the meeting and would realise what a numpty you would look with your post.

Exactly, anything could have happened to cause this.

To seriously state that the club are unprepared is bonkers.

Erm, I think I described it as one of the World's greatest tracks, and I don't recall editing that. It still stands: it is a truly great track.

Guid lad though, keep it up, it's been boring on here without the Village Idiot!

If you actually genuinely believe that its one of the greatest tracks in the world, I feel sorry for you. I also suggest you get yourself for an eye test. Still though, the right people will love your arse kissing as usual wont they, brownie points for fateddie :)

Berwicks track has had its critcs but tbh since we got the corporate sponsorship its probably a contender for the best race circuit in the Northumberland area

You have gone up in my estimations: quite a witty riposte :)

Bellego & Barrett based themselves in a house in Tweedmouth last year,it may well be that house has now been rented out to someone else.I hope they find their accomodation and workshops in Berwick as its nice to see our overseas riders committing to Berwick by actually living over here instead of flying in and out all the time.

I wonder if the previous few posts were alcohol fueled.

Changing the subject with the new rule that a meeting can be declared after 10 heats this would be my line up at home to start with Robin;Ricky;David;Matty;Kozza;Alex;Nicki; meaning Ricky gets 4 rides Robin,David,Matty,Nicki, get three each Kozza,Alex get two each.Look forward to seeing what others on here think.

Ashworth being top of our averages will have to start at No1,Edberg & Barrett being our bottom two will start at 6 & 7.Bellego rode at two last year for a time Id expect he will start there this season,Smith will be at five IMO,leaving Aspedren & Wethers at three and four.

The new Heat 10 rule you mention doesn't seem to be public knowledge, has been vaguely mentioned here and there but nothing seems to be written in stone.

There is also the question about an interval being mandatory, which might be fine at a track which owns all the catering, etc, on a warm summer evening -- but surely it won't be enforced on a night like last Saturday with a wind-chill factor of -5C?

Or is 'mandatory' what is says on the tin? Again, we haven't seen anything written down.
