Berwick Bandits 2013

Recommended Posts

It also mentions discounts for other Berwick meetings.

If you take into account the slashed prices as a starting point, then £160 for a season of sport is a really good deal.

For example, at last year's prices, 14 meetings would have cost £203, so a season of speedway is at least £43 cheaper than last year.

I think it is a decent offer, alongside the big reduction in admission.

A half-decent team is all we need, then we have no excuse for not getting out and supporting our club.

Although it looks as if Seb and Kozza are out of the equation, be great to see Ricky back, and I'm intrigued with this Argentinian: he could be a revelation.

Forget loan fees for the next 5 seasons or so, Berwick may not be around then !

Actually, closing down (although they surely won't) wouldn't stop the loan fees accruing. Tony Mole was trousering a handy fee for Carl Stonehewer for years and years after Long Eaton shut up shop.

But it does seem Berwick have suffered from Alden's ambition to go big league -- and probably because they are aiming to meet the Premier League's salary cap, which might not be the case for all the PL clubs.

Can't see any reason why Smith couldn't do both leagues, as he did in 2011. Ashworth would certainly be a good signing. The Argentian COULD be a revelation. That (with one Czech exception) he only finished in front of other Argentinians in the World U21, suggests he could take the NJL by storm.

Mole probably had other clubs he was involved in which he then transferred his assets to.

Suprised to hear about Seb, very classy rider great to watch to when its going great.

Ricky does it for me as a No1 and if we sign Kozza thant would be good, he may not be a No1 but he gives his all in every race and he wont going off scoring big points in other countries then performing to an average standard when needed in the UK.

Berwick have so many options and avenues its untrue. Seb was on a good average it will be intresting to see how Kozza does in 2013 hopfully in the B&G

Ashworth does it for me as a number 1 too, would love to have him back for another year.

According to an interview with Ricky on one of the DVD's there is nowhere else that he'd rather be racing , said the this has been his best ever season and would love to comeback

Not sure mate with wage cuts:-

Might look like this.

1. Ashworth

2. Bellego

3. Aspergren

4. Wethers

5.Smith

6. Edberg

7. Barrett.

Need to swop Wethers for Tresarrieu nothing against Matty W on his day can kick ass round Shielfield but Mat T little more exciting me thinks. If you go for Matty W you can have Albin at reserve instead of Edberg.

Don't disagree, however costs will dictate, Tressarrieu won't come cheap, Wethers like Grieves will cut his cloth accordingly.

Hmmm I think we'll go with

1. Ashworth

2. Albin

3.Wethers/Aspegren

4.Bellego

5. Smith

6. Edberg

7. Barrett

Aspegren would be my choice over Wethers, and swap Dyer for Albin and its a decent team.Im afraid we will be carrying Albin,at least at the start of the season and probably longer.
