Halifaxtiger
Slight correction! He made his debut for SHEFFIELD on his 16th Birthday the season before he signed for Scunny, so we'd heard of him cos he'd been riding second halves there every week!! I might just be being confused here, but wasn't he riding for Scunny aged 15 ? In truth, its somewhat irrelevant to the point at hand. Finding a rider doesn't mean he will become an asset. brewer
nl teams can have assets, brought in 2009 i think, perry is a dudley asset, newman went from newport to poole, and im sure i read nathan had signed as an asset of eastbourne, but in real terms does it make that much different riders will go pretty much where they want in most cases. MrMungo
Might be wrong, but I remember when we signed him last year it was announced we were loaning him from Wolves. In a Dudley PR last month, it was mentioned that Dudley had no intention of selling Perry, which led me to believe he was one of their assets. Cliffeboy
Plenty of good riders left for Plymouth to choose! How about: Fisher Poole Gathercole North Vissing Kurtz Anderson If they pulled this side together it would be a front runner, I think it may be a bit Ott average wise. DC2
If they pulled this side together it would be a front runner, I think it may be a bit Ott average wise. Nope, it was under 42.5 !!!!

How about: Fisher Poole Gathercole North Vissing Kurtz Anderson Potentially very strong side coming in at 42.41. Would finish closer to first than last. And provide plenty of fireworks!! doners1234
A team I have put together.... 1 - Ryan Fisher = 8.78 2 - ANY 5.48 RIDER = 5.48 3 - Emiliano Sanchez = 6.20 4 - Claes Nerdermark = 6.20 5 - Ricky Wells = 6.47 6 - Justin Sedgmen = 4.99 7 - Todd Kurtz = 4.38 Total= 42.50 And another team. 1 - Magnus Karlsson = 7.34 2 - Cory Gathercole =6.33 3 - Emiliano Sanchez = 6.20 4 - Dakota North = 6.49 5 - Ricky Wells = 6.47 6 - Justin Sedgmen = 4.99 7 - Todd Kurtz = 4.38 Total= 42.20 I have gone for two well balanced teams with points being scored all over the board rather than half a team like last year. Thoughts ?
ancient mariner
I wouldn't have fisher back as he didn't pull up any trees at the SBA and and he doesn't like the track so I'd prefer a.n.other He was pretty open about his dislike of the track. But as we saw plenty of times last season, he didn't ride it too bad (admittedly helped by some breathtaking team riding by Ben Barker). And if he and Ben had received more support from the other Devils they wou;ld have scored points away from home too. But I suspect he will be just too expensive Love the look of DC2's suggested team though

June
Slight correction! He made his debut for SHEFFIELD on his 16th Birthday the season before he signed for Scunny, so we'd heard of him cos he'd been riding second halves there every week!! Tai was no stranger to locals at Scunny being that his family lived here. We were privileged to watching Tai blasting around the EWR waiting for him to have his 15th birthday so he could be part of our team. He was part of our winning CL team of 2006/2007 so you are correct HT not that it makes any difference as you say.
DC2
I wish, may well be an American but wont be Fisher Proctor instead of Fisher? Ingalls could figure too.
luluthetiger
Ingalls is out for whole 2013 season. Why do people (on several threads) keep trying to resurrect his career?
Roger MARTIN
Ingalls is out for whole 2013 season. Why do people (on several threads) keep trying to resurrect his career? Like you say forget about Ingalls for this year, but i would be very surprised if we see Fisher back this year, the one thing you don't want is riders saying they don't like the track, good rider but not a patch on Ben around the sba, i would settle for Ty Procter at no1, but i will be happy to have the rider the club brings in, i'm sure Lee and Seemond know that it is essential to have a very good no 1 rider to spearhead the team, also great news about Seemond. http://www.thisisplymouth.co.uk/Stephens-gets-licence-run-Devils-2013/story-17593835-detail/story.html Edited December 17, 2012 by Devildodger
torpointfanatic22
When you hear about the possible side we could track and then hear the side we are likely to track you can't help but worry. I'm very surprised with these comments about Proctor, I wouldn't touch him with a barge-pole on 9.21. Doyle didn't average that last year at Somerset and he's better than Proctor. He's good but not that good and from what I've seen of him he's very inconsistent! I'd take the Fish over him every day of the week if it were possible, on a lower starting figure and likely to average more come the end of the season. I'm delighted that we have a new promotion on board and that in itself is brilliant, I just hope the team put together isn't the one I've heard mutterings of as it won't exactly set the world on fire imo. Bagpuss
Fisher rumoured to be going to Coventry which would rule him out of riding for a Friday night track in the PL. I think Proctor would do well but as you say Michael he's unlikely to attain his starting figure.

spin king
Somehow I don't think Proctor will be available!! It's going to be interesting how many riders actually are named on Thursday!! I'm not sure either proctor will be available either!! Proctor did say not long after the end of the season that he would like to take up a doubling up role in this country as he planned to give both Poland and Sweden a miss.
