Plymouth 2013

Recommended Posts

When the riders came out for the second half there was no material left on the inside of the track, so you can't judge the track going on the second half rides.

Hence there wasn't any holes or ruts just alot of heavy material on the track early doors do to the amount of water put down due to the weather & trying to control the dust of which there wasn't any all evening.if there were holes in the track they would of still been there @ the end of the night ! ! ! !

This next post is not in any way shape or form digging at our curretn riders but having seen riders now at the SBA and creating a good to for Plymouth how good would this team be at SBA .... ?

1- Ben Barker

2-Todd Jurtz

3- Mikkel Bech

4- Cory Gathercole

5- Ricky Wells

6- Chris Scrham

7- Jake anderson

Totaling = 41.23

If we wanted to as well you could replace scrahm with a rider at 5.21, allowing Kurtz to go back in to reserve making us look very strong exspecially around the sba. Barker is proberbly the rest rider at the SBA. Wells when he was he has proven he can ride well same as cory. Beech can only get sronger. Todd and ando have been suberb lately whitch can hopefully continue. Schram is also solid but id rather have todd at reserve and sign someone on a higher average,

As i said its not having a go at the management or team or anything of the sort, as im fully behind the devils e4specially after the signing of Beech and other top riders. Just a bit of fun from how well riders have done before at the sba.

Is Beech the local ale that they were selling in the portakabin?

PLYMOUTH WELCOME SIMON NIELSEN AND RELEASE CHRIS SCHRAMM

Issued 25th June

Devils Team Manager Lee Trigger and Co Promoter Ashley Taylor have confirmed that Plymouth will shortly have a new rider. Hopefully in time for Fridays home meeting with Berwick.

22 year old Danish rider Simon Nielsen formally of Workington and Leicester, will come into the Devils line up as a direct replacement at reserve for Chris Schramm who has been released of his services at Plymouth.

"It's never nice to tell a rider he's not required, especially when it came to Chris as he was probably the most likeable guy you would ever meet who always gives 100% with his effort and commitment. We have been monitoring rider's performances and have decided to go in a different direction with our team," We would to thank Chris for his time with us and wish him well for the future"

"We have redeclared the team with the BSPA (on Monday), and cannot see any problems, Leicester have given us permission to use Simon we are grateful to them." said team manager Lee Trigger.

I think after his horendous tactical decision at Berwick on saturday night, Lee Trigger should take a long hard look at his own position

Step forward everyone who is perfect and NEVER made an error of judgement.

Here I am!

Feel sorry for Schrammie -- he really is a trier, and certainly gave everything he could for the cause on Saturday night.

The black-and-white helmet decision was a true shockeroonie. It will go down in history, I'm afraid.

PS: Is that how you spell "Keynsham"? Old Horace Batchelor never did it that way.

Too right about the tactical howler, although in truth three more points on their total wouldn't have got the Devils anything extra in terms of league points.

Glasgow Tigers' promotion once used a less-shocking boo-boo as an excuse to sack the best team manager they ever had!

(Not that I'm advocating that Plymouth do anything like that, it is just one that Lee T is going to have to live with for a long, long time).

I said the same thing, before Kling s departure. Its not the first time he's messed up. At Leicester he tried using a rider in Ht15 who didn't qualify! ( he didn't realise that it was from programmed rides only) Does he not do his homework? Barker was flying up at Berwick a few weeks ago and set the fastest time of the season .Bellego equalled that in Ht1 on Saturday, and along with Barker was flying. Horrendous decision to use B/W against them..Add in his pathetic youtube footage ,he's giving the club a very poor image. Our club is still trying to shake of the Bowden nonsense, and we still have this clown at Team Manager. I have vowed not to sponsor anything or any rider while he's still in charge.

ok so lees made a few mistakes but in the grand scheme of things they have made no difference to the final score its lees second season in chargeand hes learning as he goes, instead of highlighting the negatives of which are few and far between try looking at the positves lees put together the best team we have had so far had to make a few changes when needed and not shyed away from making these changes i.e dropping ben read and bringing in jake who has been a good reserve for us ,mikkel bech need i say more, and now simon nielsen for schrammy which was a tough decision because chris,s commitment was always 100% bit just couldnt get going unfortunately as for your vow not to sponsor anything or anybody i suggest you use the cash and go up the road and start slagging off the somerset management and set up because you are on your own as far as plymouth fans are concerned because 99.9% of us are totally behind lee and co so do us a favour and i,ll put it politely "take a hike"

A shocking post.

As others have said, Lee Trigger appears to have erred on Saturday, but it cost the club nothing.

We all know that it is easy to manage a team from the terracing, even easier at home on a keyboard. Where were you?

Lee is obviously very committed to Plymouth Devils (which your suggestion of withholding sponsorship indicates you may not be) and I would trust the club's new promotion will treat your post with the contempt it deserves.

His record of rider-recruitment is good, and your 'opinionated' post appears to be sadly driven by more than a comment on the decision to use his captain for a tactical ride. What's your agenda?

Very well put.

  • 2 weeks later...

So maybe proctor might be out for even longer. If a change is needed at No 1 until Ty gets fit.. Who would you like to see? Me personally Ryan Fisher or it might be a little optimistic but would Lewis Bridger or Seb Alden fit into this team?
