Its about WATCHING The Heathens, we still have a thirst, following many years without a Team, would rather see us lose, than be given sommat for nowt, however we DID win the League which surely deserves something. vog
A trip to Stoke? Talk about a kick in the teeth. Most people don't want that as a wooden spoon!

It's Definatly all there fault, again, as usual , should be cast out the league and never allowed back in ever, at all. Ha, good on 'm.
Fourentee
If Dudley ever goes PL, I wonder who you are going to blame then for everything that is wrong with NL speedway? Dudley, for leaving and taking their fans with them. Obvious!
21st century heathen
Sorry Wasn't being pedantic re it being the wrong day, it was meant as a comment about Dudley losing another option for their o/s meetings No problem. Glad you spotted it.

greyhoundp
I notice the Stoke fixture for Tuesday the 2nd has been called off, rearranged for next Wednesday 10th October, no comments except to say an 8 Team League, struggling to get the play offs ridden . Parsloes 1928 nearly
Yes, just seen Stoke play-off semi called off already... Always think it's odd when meetings get callkd off a whole day before they're due... The weather really ISN'T that predictable unless there was some other reason...: technical failure at the stadium or something. Wonder if this affects things that much in terms of progressing of the P/Os though, as the second leg (now first leg again!!) is at Monmore Green next Tuesday with the Loomer Rd. leg on the day after. So actually in real terms, the end of the semi is only one day later than it would've been. The issue is, though, IF Dudley stick to Tuesdays can't see how they can stage their (likely) leg of the Final before Oct. 30th..

Dudley have a possibility of 3 remaining home matches with 4 available Tuesdays. From what I'm hearing, that's more available dates than some clubs have got. greyhoundp
The Speedway powers that be really have to get there act together, on the Speedway in crisis thread, there are numerous good suggestions, some good, some not so good, some do-able and some not so do-able, one thing that needs to be sorted is this perrenial end of season congestion, year after year this rears its ugly head, Play Offs do we need them ?, and if we persist in having them, then they need to be done and dusted by the end of September, who except for the die hard supporters wants to watch speedway, on COLD misserable late autumn evenings ? certainly NOT new potential supporters, shivering, and waiting for Heats to be run, nothing to do except wonder when are the next riders coming to the tapes, this does nothing to help speedways cause in general, and once and for all needs to be sorted out. And from what i can gather, Play Offs have NOT been the money spinner people expected, and what are the attendences at meetings that have been run after the cut off date? throughout the Leagues, Wolves last night 4/500 ?, now before BB hints that Dudley are happy not to run the PO,s which is simply not true, I am happy to abide with the Play Offs so long as they exist, though i personally dont agree with them. From what I'm hearing, that's more available dates than some clubs have got. Only THREE available Tuesdays (as the Olympique is on Tues. 16th.) And those three Tuesdays, of course, includes the 30th. October...: the penultimate day of the season and pushing the deadline to almost the limit... I doubt IOW v Mildenhall will be on either tonight. Well of course it has indeed been rained off. As posted yesterday coz both legs of the other P/O semi aren't now 'til next Tues. & Weds, the IoW second leg being now on the 9th. too hasn't in truth affected much the progress of the P/Os... villiers210
To be honest, even though the weather has been bad this year, I simply cannot believe that a league that consists of only 8 teams is struggling to get all its fixtures completed. Plain stupid.
