Islander15
You cannot just keep extending the deadline. As I've stated a couple of times it's my opinion that if a club cannot complete it's fixtures it has a 0-75 awarded against it. I believe this has been done in the past, but cannot recall a precise example. What I would be absolutely against is a club being fined. Things are tight enough without the fat cats squeezing clubs in what has been the wettest season in the sports history (in this country), or even for other legitimate reasons. If there were a repeat offender then perhaps further action should be taken. Off the top of my head something along the lines of KL (just as an example) are given an 'official' warning this season. If they fail to complete their fixtures by the deadline next season they start the following season on -5 league points. That provides motivation to move heaven and earth to get the fixtures in but does not directly impact a club financially. I agree with your reasoning, but if KL were warned, would they come back next year? Even more so if they were to start on a deduction. Something though does need to be done, to try and make it a level playing field for stand-alone and second teams. Stoke have already qualified... Exstending till sat would decide on track who deserved to go through out of I.O.W and Raiders It should have been the same CUT OFF date as the Premier League if some one sensible was running the league.... If the deadline was extended to Saturday, then IOW and Rye House could overtake Stoke (putting them 5th). Extending it to Wednesday, would mean Stoke could reclaim a play-off spot. Really If you extended as Vog has said, Stoke may not even qualify, it could be the IoW and Rye House that go through. If you are going to extend do it so all meetings are run!! Not just the ones that suit certain teams needs
builderbob
another option would be to dissmiss all of kings lyn scores, and adjust the points and for and againsts for all teams in league
waco
i was unaware Stoke might be affected ..i am only interested in a level playing field were the play offs are decided on the track,, not in the office of Mr Morrish Obviously kings lynn are miles behind with their fixtures .so removing those results could be another solution ,,and no ..i have no idea how that would effect Rye Raiders..i just want fairness not a farce... greyhoundp
Seems like its Heathens V Stoke, which leaves IOW v Mildenhall, good luck to ALL riders and Teams.

lucifer sam
Well done to the IOW - in particular young Adam Ellis - for putting a big performance when they needed it. I do feel sorry for Rye House, who may well finish ahead of Stoke, once the final table is completed. Given the awful weather throughout the year, plus the fact that some tracks (e.g. King's Lynn) have been trying to fit in more than one level of racing, surely the cut-off for the NL could have been moved back to the end of September? That would have been the common sense thing to do. All the best Rob
waco
It needs someone to be put in charge of this league with some common sense ,,and will not let this qualification farce happen again next season..

Fair point but is there any reason why Rye House didnt run on Monday,Tuesday or last night against Stoke?? you could argue that everyone new the Playoff cut off date was last night yet they had 4 nights since Saturday to do the Stoke fixture?? Has anyone from the Rye NL team asked this to Len?? Or is it a case, like i fear, that he,along with others blow there balls of with NL and he doesnt want anymore fixtures??? Ommer Mon
Oh dear. Another blame everything on Dudley thread could be about to take off. I'm presuming this is a tongue in cheek comment. If we had been desperate to squeeze a fixture in I could understand it to some extent but Dudley have been sitting at the top of the League for a considerable time now and, let's face it, we haven't exactly struggled against Rye House and I.O.W this year. Looking forward to a great end to a highly successful season. Any clashes with Mildenhall could be classics. It's good to be back.

villiers210
I've seen plenty of rubbish on here about what Dudley is responsible for, but this is 24 carat stuff. If Dudley ever goes PL, I wonder who you are going to blame then for everything that is wrong with NL speedway?
