dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
This one could be a decider for the last play off place. The Witches need to take 4 points to put themselves in the mix again. Two evenly matched sides that served up an excellent meeting at Foxhall kast night. I would love to see the Witches come up trumps but expect the Monarchs to overturn last nights result. I expect a close one with the Monarchs managing to repel a spirited Witches effort. 50 - 40 ish. aljack
After our struggle to win by 7 points and get all 3 points last night I can only see a defeat for the Witches tonight. That will end any lingering hopes of a top 6 place but honestly has that ever been in doubt! Witches weakness at the top end ended any real hopes before the season started. Ipswich Jules
What a surprsing post from the troll - good to see you being so supportive of the team you claim to support! *Awaits for the "I don't wear rose tinted glasses / I'm a realist" comments* Â Our season was very bright before the season started - go and have a look at the thread on here who people were tipping, a lot of fans from other teams were fancying us to do well. Â We suffered with the injuries to Morten and Taylor in the first meeting.
spanner47
Very nice of Edinburgh to make the effort to ride us. When's the cup S/F?? I'm being a bit unfair, i dont blame them for stringing it out when they've got injured riders, but if the S/F in the 3rd week of October gets rained off, when will the final be? Anyway, good luck to the lads tonight, not expecting much though. Edited September 7, 2012 by spanner47

You just haven't got a positive bone in your body, I'm sure you walk around with one of them boards around your next which state the world will end tomorrow. Even you said you were happy with the team before the season started. Injuries at the first meeting wrecked our season!!!!! Â Anyway back to tonights meeting, this will probably be another tight affair, a hard one to call as it has so much riding on it for both teams. Hope the witches get the result they need to keep the play-offs alive! Edited September 7, 2012 by Bash

msc1874
Ipswich are a great team, great club certain riders behaviour tonight was nothing short of disgusting. Lying on track if their teammate was not in a favourable position. As clear as I have seen in 27 years watching this sport. Disgusted
pauliejaz
This is hardly a new thing in speedway. It's been going on years and always will do.

spanner47
Â Â Â We've not been seeing so much of this in 2012. Suppose we're getting to the business end of the season. Can't stand it myself. Nobody likes this sort of thing, but i reckon most riders would have done the same thing in a close meeting. Anyway, 90-89 to the Witches, lets hope for the same in December when we ride the S/F.

msc1874
Â Â No way  before you know it riders will be moving at the start . Â Blatant gamesmanship and cheating. Blatantly lying on track to get a race stopped is very different from moving at the start. Get some perspective my friend. I have no axe to grind with ipswich but tonight two riders in different heats blatantly cheated in my eyes and the views on many other reasonably minded people. Not just people with blue and gold specs but many what I would call speedway fans shared this view
Mr Snackette
just like the antics of the sanders n berry era  If only it were so!!  Mind you, I remember Pete Chapman and Moggo winding the Poole fans up a treat, with similar antics back in the early 90s.  Still a great result for Ipswich to grab a point. Fortunate for the Monarchs that they picked a decent guest, otherwise things may have been different!!!!
